CAA#8 Group Dinner Buffet - Tuesday June 27, 2017 - Eureka Springs
Gary - Might help to make it clear what the terms are for those not yet committed to this dinner event. My experience with these types of events, is the following:

The hotel will make sufficient food to accommodate a known headcount. If folks don't commit to attending by the "drop dead" date above, they'll probably not be able to show up, pay at the door, & enjoy the dinner with those that did commit. Really not a big deal, as there are ample eateries in Eureka Springs to handle folks that need somewhere to eat that night. We've had folks drop out of this event in the past week. And CAA8 still is far enough off that folks might be undecided whether they will be able to attend. Cancelling a hotel reservation is simple. But getting your money back for the dinner could be troublesome. Probably why folks haven't committed yet.

If these aren't the terms, then let the group know what the terms are.

I'm not involved with the business side of this part of the event so I cant provide more than I already have.
What I do know is that if the payment isn't received by June 12th those persons will be unable to join us for the group dinner.
There are currently
31 signed up for banquet and we need 40 for the Buffet
We can still have a dinner with 31 but not buffet style.
Any further info needed I suggest you contact this person:

Just wanted to post a final reminder that the extended deadline for the t-shirt order is fast approaching. I have to send in the order by 6/7, so please be sure to check out the link with details. Any questions, let me know. https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...30-2017-a.html

Getting close now !!!!
Anyone passing through Alabama on I-20 want to meet up with myself and randyradio at the Oxford/Anniston exit ( probably the Cracker Barrel ) on Saturday morning June 24 and convoy on to Eureka Springs ?
We plan to overnight in Marion, Arkansas at the Hallmarc Inn then finish the drive to ES Sunday.

George, we were planing to stop over in Jonesboro Sat. night, but no reservations made. We could change that, what is the attraction at Marion, Arkansas? (It looks like a half-way point from your house.) Let's try to meet up Saturday evening or Sunday morning.

No attraction in Marion, just picked it cause it was 1/2 way for me.
We will be at the Hallmarc Inn in Marion Saturday afternoon June 24, we can meet up and convoy on to ES if you want. Randy Ashurst from Brunswick GA will be with me.

Add two more for the buffet dinner. I'll be paying via PayPal soon.

Just arrived today, another commemorative item for your adventure to CAA#8. My wife and I have commissioned a 3 inch embroidered patch taken from a road shot at CAA#6 by Gary. It's titled 'Crossfires Into the Sky'. The patches will be available at the event for sale. I'm selling for $2.00 each, to only recover some of the cost of producing them. Can't wait to see everyone soon. I've added a photo attachment to this post of the patch. Not familiar with this site and hope it appears.

It's hard to get a consensus among four people, so we have decided to stay with the original plan and stop for the night in Jonesboro. If we stopped in Marion we would be there around noon with nothing to do until the next day. Jonesboro is our halfway point. I would like to go further but...

We don't drive the Crossfire all that distance . . . If we had to do that we wouldn't be going . . . LOL As we get older we have learned a few things along the way.

We trailer the Crossfire to our destinations while riding in the comfort of our Ford Excursion 7.3 liter diesel with plenty of room for our "stuff". "This is how we roll" . . .

This is why we are looking at a toy hauler RV for the touring bike. SEMO to S. Carolina and home via the dragon was fun but the ole lady was a bit frazzled by the end of the trip. I can drive the crossfire a little further than the FLHTCU without stopping, but not by much.
