13th Annual Fall 2019 - Tail of the Dragon GTG - October 3 - 6
46 room, 2 cabins, 49 cars and 91 people attending as of this morning. We have the majority of the Lodge rooms booked, but other groups do have a few.
Cabins are all blocked for other groups, as are some rooms. But this summer the blocks will expire and maybe more will open up.

I’m looking forward to this. It will be our first outing of any real distance in the Crossfire. Now I just have to explain to the wife that she can only pack one very small bag to fit in the trunk of the roadster. This should be fun!
YOU are car 50. You win a free copy of my new book "53 in a 45", the story of how I got tagged for 8 miles over on the Skyway trying to keep up with Nick McBroom. (DO NOT EVER go with his group!)
Yes, I got a ticket for being the SLOW GUY.
Tom, could you give us your city? We like to list where everyone is coming from. Thanks!

My wife and I are tentatively going with our 05 SRT coupe. Robert Baldyga and wife Samantha Baldyga We will be there by 3PM on Thursday the 3rd, leaving Sunday afternoon the 6th. I will book the hotel early next week too once I confirm a baby sitter for our kids.
This will be our first dragon event.
We are driving 10 hours from Montgomery, IL (Right next to Gary's town). Gary, we are thinking about leaving 4 or 5AM Thursday morning so maybe we could follow each other since we're right next door? Up to you, just send me a message on Facebook or here. Could meet up earlier too but my crossfire is in my dads garage right now. Just replaced the right valve cover gasket and the water pump is next.
I will purchase that $100 radio linked above (This one:
https://www.amazon.com/Midland-Consumer-Radio-MXT105-Weather/dp/B01NCR6ITQ/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=MXT-105&qid=1555706682&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1
) So that we can communicate to everyone.
I also wouldn't mind leading. I am by no means a speed racer or a gear head but I do have some track experience in my hay days (2009) at the autobahn country club in Joliet when I bought a brand new 300C SRT8 back in the day. I know this isn't a race either and I wouldn't want to push my luck either way so maybe I'd be a slow leader.
Either way, I look forward to seeing you all there!

Remind me this fall to tell you the cool story about me and my First Crossfie and the lady in the minivan, in Aiken, July of 2009.
She convinced me I had a hell of a car!
She probably owns one today as well...

I often run about 10 over the speed limit and only stop for gas/food and bathroom all at once to avoid excess stops along the way
You also can contact me here via PM or on Facebook - I'd enjoy your company along the way
Gary
Got ya, Melanie!
Ok, 53 cars and right at 100 people by my count. The lodge rooms are gone, I understand that we are now being put in Garden units A, B, C and D and the Cabana rooms. (See map in post 1)
We also have two cabins rented, I understand there will not be any more cabins available until August 1 when the group holds expire, not sure how many will be available then but probably a few.
I am so encouraged by my Crossfire Crazies ! You people are booking early, this is good, as we all know that the lodge fills up in the fall. (Well, they were booked to the hilt this spring, that's how I ended up in a cabin.)

First Name(s)
Arrival and departure dates
We use this info for event/run planning and name tags. We've got to know how many we have each day to plan route leaders.
Thanks
