Have owned mine for a year and love it. You don't see yourself coming and going and its been a totally reliable car. Definitely see more on the road now that the weathers getting warmer but not nearly in the numbers you see Vettes and Porsches. Enjoy your ride.

Just caught your message from yesterday. Welcome to the forum. We have had a few get togethers in the area, always nice to have another enthusiast. We are in the process of having a cape run on memorial day weekend. Check out this thread here.

Dittos to the welcome. I'm a new owner and new member too! This car experience is beyond description. I waited almost two years after falling in love with this vehicle...and now see what I missed for all that time The only thing I would warn you about is the loud pop when dropping the top. The rear latch bolt popped out the first time and scared the daylights out of me...I thought something broke. But it's all good. Go enjoy!

Hello, I am schedule to P\U a new 05’ roadster 6 speed (65 miles) on Monday but I have a few concerns after reading some of the post here.
What I know so far is:
1) There was a recall to replace a cooling fan (Is there a way to confirm this fan was replaced?)
2) Head lights that fog up (before taking delivery should as the dealer to have these replaced?) Is there a TBS or part number the dealer can refer too?)
Should I make mention in the sales agreement that I want the headlights replaced?

3) Problem with engine knock and tranny slippage. (Is there anything I should listen too that might indicate this car might have this problem? Was the Trans issue only on automatic?
4) I notice a wrench logo was showing on the gauges when I test drove the car.
I can not say for certain it was on all the time.
(Does this mean the car need service?)

Thanks for you assistance.

Thank you for the welcome!
Does this mean I should have the dealer check every one of these TSB (that apply of course)? Again, How can I be sure the cooling fan was replaced? Should I insist that the headlight be replaced under the TSB?
Thanks for your advice.

Welcome man... i just picked up mine about a week ago and my headlights had same problem. Service said they could fix it with the kit that they have. However, I guess those kit did not worked and they replaced it with brand new ones under warranty.

If I were picking up a new '05 vehicle and the # comes up on the recall list I would ASSUME the recall work has NOT been done. Make sure it is done before you pick up the car and sign on the dotted line as some members have had damage done underhood while the recall work was being performed. This way its still their car if you're displeased with the work or results.

Thanks, can you give me the number for you dealer. I ask the dealer to replace the lights under the tsb and is planning to get the kit per tsb. I don't want to waste his time (or mine) knowing the kit does not work. Also, I was reading the owner manual and there is a tool to manually close the top. I don't see one in my car. Should I have one?
Thanks again for all you help.
I love this car!!!

What you are looking for is the "Multi Purpose Tool", this is used to raise/lower your top if the hydraulics fail and also to remove the lower front grills to expose the tow ring. Should be in a plastic bag behind one of the seats in the cargo netting or in the trunk in the cubby hole in the pump area. If its not there, your Dealer should be able to get you one.
