Just checked, and the piece appears to be installed correctly. The rubber wiper feels soft to the touch and not hardened and non-flexible. I'm heading out to check out wiper blades and RainX...might be overkill, but in Seattle, rain and wipers go hand in hand!

 

I still suggest the Rain-X and the sunglasses. I suggested yellow because I've got some in a lite enough shade to use at night, and I have red, blue, and green. Pending on what the sun is doing. Most imported thing though is to make sure your buying colored lenses and not tinted lenses. Easiest way to figure this out is when you look through them they give the color hue to every thing you look at ex. If your looking through yellow everything appears yellow. Also on the plus side of having several different shades is that when I ride with the top down at night (firebird) I can keep the debris and wind out of my eyes and still see just fine, not to mention it cuts down on the head lights brightness of the idiot in the truck behind me.
