Looks great on Black. I've got a graphite gray convertible with them. I get many comments on how good the wheels look.

I know what you mean. I love seeing other people gawk at the car when I drive by. I think the best part about the car is walking up to it when people are checking it out and pretend I am just looking at it too and see what kind of comments they make on the car. I think my favorite was when some guy said that the car was so beautiful and expensive. Any some people have too much money to be spending it on nice cars. I agreed with him and then got in the car and drove off. The look on his face was priceless!

I was thinking about it, but the ones that I saw on the CTD website look...odd. I would like to have exactly what I have but chrome. The side fins are chrome...I put them on about two weeks ago.

Really, really nice look. I was going to go the same route had I bought a Limited instead of an SRT. How much did they cost?

Detroit Wheel Company, I paid around $850.00 with exchange. I happen to live in Michigan so I drove down and they installed them at no charge. My chrome wheels are flawless. I believe they have some listed on e-bay.

Are you using them during winter? I'd like to know how well the chrome performs after the winter is over. Please keep us posted.

chrome and winter do NOT mix... no matter how often you wash them... been there done that... (triple chromed & all)... they will peel & corrode.

i don't know of any aftermarket chrome plating companies that will warranty their product if used in the salt.

Thanks...now only if I still lived in Saginaw...I could just drive there and have the same done. As for the trade, does the condition matter of the replacements? The curb got a little happy with them...seemed to only occur when I let the wife drive (go figure).

I do not have to worry about the whole winter thing down here in Georgia. They have not seen snow here in a while. I do not think they even have salt for the roads.

That's what I've been afraid of. This winter I stored my XF, but don't know if I will next winter. I like the look of the chrome wheels, but would hate to see them peel or pit with the road salt. Maybe if I buy winter tires?

FP I would agree with Andrew, you do not want to run Chrome in the winter. If you do consider getting a set I'd hang on to the oem wheels for any winter driving. I have put my car to bed for the winter although it was a good year and it has only been a month since I quit driving it. And I'm starting to really get the itch to get it out... I'm hoping the Groundhog has good news for us.

I agree don't run them in the winter. I store mine in the winter, in fact my rims never see rain! The only time mine get wet is for a good wash/wax.
