'06 dealer incentives?
Does anyone know what the dealers are getting in the way of incentives for them to take delivery of the 06' crossfires? They are discounting limited roadsters $13,000 without much haggling. Chrysler must really be trying to blow out the remaining 06's.

I dunno but lately, every Chrysler dealership around here that has a TV ad, or a newsletter, they have a Crossfire on there. I just saw one at a dealer up the street, a blue roadster. I hope no one around here buys it.
I'm picking up my new Crossfire tomorrow afternoon and I'm quite excited. According to my dealer there were no Crossfires made specifically as an '06 model. Daimler-Chrysler in Germany took late '05 production left over models and by putting the SRT6 wheels and tires and a couple of other small changes they were able to VIN them as '06 models. Mine has a sticker of $35,545, but I am getting it out the door for $23,600 and another great thing is that because it is not a manufacturers rebate program, but rather a straight up price, I only have to pay state tax on the $23,600, otherwise Wisconsin charges tax on the total including rebate. Not a bad deal for a new 2006 Crossfire Convertible.
What they told me was that Chrysler shoved it down their throat by giving them a special incentive program on a lot of RAM trucks. To get the special pricing on those they had to take a 2006 Crossfire also at a greatly reduced price. I'm sure they are going to make something on it, but I'm not passing up this deal. I'm told that other dealers had the same "opportunity" and it looks like some of them are going to unload them on e-Bay at about the same price I'm paying for mine. I'm going to miss my SLK, but I do plan on having fun with my new Crossfire.
Anyone want to buy a silver 2000 Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 with the AMG Sport package?

Was at my local dealership just yesterday and low and behold there sits a 2006 Roadster in yellow. I looked at the window sticker and sure enough it said 2006 and the list was $41,000 something. It had the manual and all season tires that was it.
