I drive my year around in the Chicago area - 140K on the car - bought car July 2003. Car handles well in snow and I haven't had many issues with slipping on ice/snow even though the car is light weight.
I look forward to driving the car everyday.

140k is about the highest mileage I have heard on a XF, and Chicago traffic is tough on cars. Have you had any usual repairs? How is it holding up.
PS - My SRT6 and 2007 coupe were bought in the Chi 'burbs and driven back to their new homes in Michigan.

Goldwing - I have had only normal maintenance, replaced brake pads, a windshield replacement (Road debris issue), on second set of performance/snow tires, spoiler had rust and replaced two years ago (under Warranty), and I replaced my fan which recently was chosing when to turn on and off. No other issues thus far.

My 05 Roadster is a daily driver !!! I've got the car second hand with 32,000 already on it. I've just returned to Alabama from North Carolina last night....it's got 47,000 on it now.
I wash it a couple times a week or at least wipe it down with Mothers "Showtime" at least once a day to keep it fresh !!!!!!!
I can't see a roadster sitting up in the garage ......it's too much fun to drive.

Once a year I will drive mine from one end of the garage to the other then I quickly cover it back up before the light has time to damage the paint. Sometimes I will go out and sneak a peak under the car cover at a bumper or a fender but no more than 2 times a year. You people are crazy for actually driving your cars, it is not like they were made for that or anything!!

it's probably the best place for it. We know how you farts drive.
You must be planning to keep it til you hit 200. Just kidding unless you really are a 100 then you better get out and drive it like you stole it before it's to late.

Daily driver...got the car with 38,000. Drive 47 miles ONE WAY ...5 X a week. Just got back from North Carolina this past weekend. Went some 460 miles one way.
I'm just now 48,000 on her... I personally can't see it sitting in the garage ...it's ment to ROLL...and here in Alabama.... ROLL means something ( Roll Tide Roll).
But the Roadster is a daily driver...I'll continue to enjoy ..and drive it daily...until the wheels fall off....

The coupe is a dd for me unless the weather is bad or I have to haul something. 40 miles when new and just turning 29k. My wife drives the roadster 2 to 3 days a week. I think it has about 44k on it. I get it out for a drive on sunny days, it has xm radio.
