Stormshield is the ultimate all weather fabric, manufactured by Guilford Mills. Stormshield is made by taking polyester woven material, spraying molten acrylic foam, and electro - flock microscopic cotton fibers onto it, producing a "peach fuzz" after cooling. It is a breathable three layer material which offers excellent UV protection. The special soft inner layer pampers the most delicate paint finish. The material is lightweight and compact for ease of use and storage. Stormshield is also recommended for snowy or icy conditions.

- Per the listing.

I've never understood why someone would want to take the time to put something like this on, instead of just putting up the top. Sometimes I take the burger out of the bun and put it into a ziploc bag while I'm eating the fries (just to keep it safe). But I think that's different...

Have you ever had a cat sleep on your soft-top at night? Very annoying. Besides that, wouldn't the UV protection save some fading on the top material
(not to mention the interior ...)?

I just ordered a car cover for that very reason! I just washed and waxed on Monday, two hours later, both of my wife's cats were sleeping on the top. Paw prints on the car and cat hair all over the top! I went inside and told her either I get a cover or the cats go (not really, I went in a begged and pleaded and she gave in).

Keep a watchful eye ... now that it's all waxed and smoooth, the poor little buggers will have to use those NAILS in an attempt not to slide off when climbing aboard.

( ... next you'll be wet sanding)

My full cover arrives any day now.

2 weeks after I got my car that's exactly what happened to me. Now I have 2 scratches I will have a hard time removing. Just get a full cover. IMO.

I can see some value in the smaller cover. I keep my car garaged and under cover just to keep the dust off it. But even rolled up it takes almost the whole trunk. If this cockpit cover works it should protect the interior, keep strangers hands out, be easier to carry, and save wear&tear on the soft top mechanism.

Has anyone bought one? Does it fold up well? Is it quick/easy to install?
