2005 vs 2006 Top Latch
As noted on my previous question I just got my 2006 roadster limited yesterday. Dealer had a problem finding the manual & extra key. Gave me the manuals & wrote on receipt ordered key. When I got home they are the 2005 manuals. Noticed this when looking & also when reading it said to open the top push latch release button, on mine no button just pull the handle down & turn. Did they change this for 2006. Now got to get the right manuals.
Don't believe there's any difference, just pull down the handle, twist and push up a couple inches to clear the windshield. Press the top up/down button and wait for the beep to tell you you're done. Reverse is the same and when you hear the beep its time to pull down on the handle and twist in reverse. Enjoy your new ride its really a great car.
There was a change in 2005 (discussed in an earlier thread), some 2005's the button has to be depressed in order to turn the handle and some do not.
On my 2005 Roadster Limited the center button inside the handle has to be depressed or the handle will not turn.

Reason I even noticed it is my dealer gave me a 2005 owners manual instead of the 2006. They lost the envelope including the spare key which they are ordering. I asked them to order a 2006 manual also.
