Default Anybody know how to change battery in door key?

One of my door keys (remote function) is not working. I assume that the battery is the fault. Can the battery be replaced?

Looking at the sides of the fob, you'll see a small slot. Pry gently here. Open and replace the battery. Snap 'er back together.

Thanks, I did get it open and will get two replacement batteries in the morning and see if the batteries are the problem.

I think the key needs to be reprogrammed after changing the battery if memory serves me right. Do a search on "key fob" and you should find the instructions. It was quite painless.

I just replaced one of mine last week. $4.69 or so for two batteries at Walgreens. I also didn't need to reprogram...

I believe you have a minute or two before you lose the programming - so do not dilly dally (do people still say dilly dally?) or you will have to check the threads on how to program the fob.
