If this is our last number of knowledge then I would go by thaty and say only 76047 was the last car built. Anyone know time and day of these two Crossfires?

I guess it would be kinda nice to know what model # your's is - have a discrete build # somewhere and/or 'birthday'

I've owned a 2005 SRT roadster for a number of years, bought "used" with three miles on odo and 33 mos. of new car warranty from a Chrysler dealer in Virginia and shipped sight-unseen to Honolulu. (Chrysler auctioned these off to dealers and let them sell them as used for whatever they could get, I bought min thru Ebay.) I'm fairly sure mine is the only SRT roadster from any model year in Hawaii... and it's great to live in a place where I can run it with the top down all year-round. Other than the window falling out of the convertible top (common problem I understand) it's been great, although it only has about 15K miles on it. Does anyone know how many of this model were made? And how many in 2005? I'm new to the this site and I have no idea how to even find a reply, but I thank you in advance for the information. Mahalo and aloha, MR

It is a 2006 SRT6, based upon the VIN number in your posting. If you open the drivers door, the sticker reveals the VIN number and the MonthHourDay your SRT6 was built.
I added your VIN# to the SRT6 database, look at the sticky under the SRT6 section of this forum. We do not have a real number of 2006 SRT6's, since Chrysler (USA) and Karmann (Germany) did not respond to our inquiries about the actual number manufactured. There were 928 Roadsters made for the model year 2005, but the Roadsters for 2006 are unknown at this time.

By the way, welcome to the forum, which has the most information about our cars!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Crossfire

Wiki site has new production numbers by years, models, coupe and roadsters. They claim to be officially recognized production number by Chrysler and Crossfire International Car Club.

I updated the Wikipedia page based off of the numbers we received from a CICCI member who works for Chrysler. You can see the post here as well:

I know you did Itsky.... I read thru all that list. Seems to be a lot of missing info. It just shows there were more SRT's built than we thought at first. I don't think he had all the info we needed. Or wanted. But it does tell a different story. I would have liked to have seen build data directly from Karmann. They had to be billing someone for the work they did. I found some info in German that showed the engines being provided to Karmann from the AMG people. Which proved that engine was never altered. Anyway, it is what it is and we will never know now if it is complete or not. We don't know how many they destroyed in testing. How many are hidden away....lol... Who knows. Still 4000 or so SRT's is still a low number...

Agreed. Tim stated that there were about 150-200 or so Crossfires not listed in the total numbers that were used for testing, etc. I doubt that number included any SRT-6s.

The data I found concerning engine shipments for the SRT line was for 4800 engines. Now I am sure some of those went to dealerships or were held back for warranty work in case of a failed engine. MB had discontinued putting that engine in anything of theirs, so I would assume they went there for the XF builds. It was an article in German about the Karmann factory's last days of building Crossfires. They were also well known for their design and build of the hide away roadster tops. Still good information though.

Wouldn't CarFax or a similar company have this info in their registration database?

No...CarFax isn't all that good anyway. Many companies don't report the info. My bodyshop or my insurance carrier don't report anything to Carfax. Dealerships for the most part do, but I am sure they miss a car or two here and there when they are busy. It is a volunteer thing, not required info. With Karmann going belly up, that info has been lost or stored away in a German warehouse somewhere... Of in some old data base that hasn't been discovered yet. I think we have all the info we are going to get. And that is more than we had for some time.
