Manually Putting Down Top

well, you are close, but not quite correct. The manual describes (quite well) how to manually put the top UP. Putting the top down requires an extra step or two, and I got mine working again before it was necessary for me to figure it out.

The top needs to be unlatched from the cover, and turning the special bolt with a 13mm (1/2inch) wrench does NOT do that. I looked at the gizmo that locks it, and it has a real srong spring, and you will need to maually override it. I had no need to damage the thing, so I did not mess with it at the time. Now the top is working again, so I have no need or want to break it now, but it would be nice to know how to do if anyone has figures it out.
