MeQuiars Canvas Protectant
Just used MeQuiars Canvas cleaner and their Canvas Protectant,
- Why didn't I do this a year ago?
Didn't take any before and after pictures - but don't need to - just remember what your top looked like when it was new - and that's it.
Dark, black; and the same shade overall. - time will tell how long it lasts
but the auto paint store where I got it - swears that it has lasted on their Jeep for months,
Was a snap to use; took longer to tape off the car in case I got overspray everwhere - which I didn't only because I taped off the car!
Can't get Ragg Top here in town - and I don't buy over the internet.
(don't like cell phones or answering machines either)

Yep, this is great stuff. As for longevity, well, we did formulate it for use on canvas covers on boats and most people don't have the luxury of parking their boat in a garage so the canvas sits outside exposed to the elements 24/7. It is very good stuff.
I found a couple of pencil eraser sized blobs of tree sap on my roof after work one day and all it took to remove them from the treated top was a spritz of plain water and a clean towel. Almost no effort and not a trace of it left.

thanks, Mike
makes me feel better, Seems everyone ravs about Ragg Top and not too many mention your product. Perhaps you could market it differently?

How will the Meguiars product work on a tan canvas top? I used the Raggtop on the Saab and I liked how it looked. The Raggtop is a 2- step product as well (cleaner and protectant/water repellent.)
Is the Meguiars available through normal retail channels? I'd love to try it.

The Meguiar's canvas products will do a great job on lighter colored canvas too - if you want to see the true power of these two products in action, have a look at THIS THREAD at meguiarsonline.com where we restored the exceptionally grimy top on a 1964 Rambler.
Since these two products are from our Marine/RV Line you can find them at most large boat and RV supply shops such as Camping World, West Marine and Boater's World. You can always go to www.meguiars.com/dealerlocator and type in your ZipCode and then select "Meguiar's Marine Products" to find a dealer.
