Hi,
I was thinking about picking up a diffuser. I have seen a pix of the Mopar model..is yours tinted and how much are you looking to recoup?

I had also worked with Geoff when I purchased mine and it was about $270 shipped.

I will say this is great item that looks factory and very classy.

I like it a lot and almost forget its there.

Think I will go out for a cruise shortly...

How did you make it? It looks tight and I feel like doing a project.

I have everything that came from Mopar: Storage Bag, Instructions, Mounting Hardware(I used 3M tape instead of drilling holes for the bottom track so you will have a little work to do getting the old tape off the track). The tape worked great and came off the car without a trace. No scratches or dings, great shape. Looks like I paid about $200 last year. I'll sell it to you for $100.

I am still thinking it through. I really like the mesh, I just wish they were less expensive. I have another question..is it tinted?

Sorry, left this out of first reply. Email me at sferlisi@bellsouth.net if interested and we can figure out payment and shipping. Thanks.

I bought a 24X48 sheet of 1/4" smoked acrylic from McMaster Carr and cut it out on a band saw.

McCarr no longer carries it. Look in the Yellow Pages for "Plastics" and give them a call.

It's very easy to work with-it comes with a layer of paper on both sides to protect it and you can write on it as you lay it out for cutting.

Caveman.

Edit:

I looked my order and found:

8505K932 (Gray/smoke)
8505K931 (Bronze)
Go to McMaster Carr and enter this part number. Or call them.

They call it "Translucent" but it is as clear as glass.

Thanks for the info on the materials. Do you have the specs for the cut-out?

The specs? Why, yes, I do. Would you like a template? I can make one quite easily. However, the design might cost you!

"Brotha'"? Pulling out the race card? But, but, but...I'm white!

Look. I'll let you have it, but not for free. P.M. me.

Another source for polycarbonate (Acrylic) is Home Depot. I picked up a piece large enough to make two for around 12 bucks.

2 things- I did not know Chrysler had a stock wind diffuser. how do I get my hands on one?
Also, I had purchased one from WindRestrictor.com in Garland, Texas. I liked it a lot. It had the brake light module, which was distracting at night, but I never did hook up the on-off switch they supplied.
Unfortunately, we had a heat wave in Seattle recently, about 103 degrees, and the wind screen literally melted in the heat.
I have not contacted the factory yet to discuss the issue. I just discovered the warped & twisted remains yesterday while detailing my beautiful Classic Yellow Crossfire Roadster.

My Adamesh screen got here today BEAUTIFUL five minute install and went for a ride. Very noticably quiet to the point you can talk in a normal voice. Geoff did a good job and it was packaged very well for the long trip wrapped in cardboard and then in a box. At first glance I thought wow is it small but it fills the space perfectly and very well made the leather or faux leather is nice and tight as is the mesh, really worth the wait and price. I would not be afraid to do business with Geoff and don't forget he credits back $45 when he finds out you come from this forum. Great buy.

I got mine at http://www.tuningshop.co.uk a couple years ago. Others have recently found them for less at a place called Adamesh. Read through the thread and you'll see.

No holes to drill. It attaches to the umbrella hooks:
