Was the total $305.00 with the $45.00 subtracted from the total or with the $45.00 still added to the total?

Glare!!! I built one for myself out of 3/16inch Lexan. Pretty easy with a band saw in the workshop, maybe 1.5hours time. but the glare and reflection to the front when looking into he rearview mirror is terrible. On a rainy night you cannot look over your shoulder without seeing multiple images. has anyone experienced this with the "store bought" units? Would like the mesh unit, but too much $$ when compared to my FREE Lexan shield.

I have one by King Penn, it is fine, no glare at night...and the old saying is "you get what you pay for"...nothing wrong with a DIY, just may need to take her off at night...

I tried changing the angle and it helped a little but only to see a different reflection, like the black inside roof top. I do see reflections in your post. I wonder how that does not reflect forward when looking into the rearview mirror, unless the angle is the secrret?

Jim, no secrets..
With the top up sitting in the cockpit there are zero reflections day or night. With the top down at night I have on rare occasions noticed a reflection from a street light or two but no problems. If you used a tinted Lexan it would reflect much more than using a clear piece I would think? I used 1/4" clear Poly Carbonate. If you look at the photo (bottom right) taken looking out of the cockpit there are no reflections.
Bill,

Well you could tint it?

I have the mesh unit and let me tell you that it was well worth the money. Yes a little pricey but it looks factory and works perfect. Trust me if you do make the choice you wont regret it.

Ditto! I wish I owned stock in the company for as much as I have promoted them. It looks great and performs even better.

No tint, Clear Lexan used. Maybe the surface of Lexan is more reflective than other plastics? I may try Polycarbonate next? Thanks for all the response!

I just emailed Geoff and they are still offering the discount. The only thing is, here is what is showing in the cart before the discount.

i got mine from windblox. it's not like the one on their web site that installs with straps - it's like the small one sold by a better name vendor attaching with the screws holding the 'unbrella' hooks and goes between the roll hoops. i have awlful reflection. it's a flat piece of clear plastic/lexan/??. i have room to tilt it backwards towards the rear of the car if that helps. does anyone know if there is a way to bend this? maybe with heat? i did go cheap and i guess you get what you pay for but it is made well with very nice edges. how can i fix my glare problem as it sometimes does not feel safe to me.

Well had nothing to do today so I ordered the mesh diffuser from England. Thanks to all who wrote reviews and for all the input. Made the decision a no brainer for me. Since I rarely drive the roadster at night, the lighted one was of little or no value to me. Once again thanks.

You made an excellent choice. The wind diffuser is a tad costly but it looks factory and I even forget that mine is there.

I hope that you will be as happy as the rest of us!

Nate-man you were spot on when you said I would not be disappointed. The quality was outstanding. Something you would expect from Porsche, BMW or Mercedes. Super easy to install, it may not be as sexy as light up model but since I live in a tailored and modern house ; it fits me to a tea.

The shipment was via FedEx express. Everthing about this company was first rate.

Thanks InferoRedXfire your input and analysis was the deciding factor. I had seen the one that lights up at a GTG over a year ago and that is what made me search out alternatives.

Glad you got it and like it. Just to let you know, shortly after I got mine, they redirected all their manufacturing to fulfill a large order from Lexus. Windscreens for Crossfires and most others went on backorder for nearly the entire summer of 2008.

Gotta go with the mesh. I've used them on:
Alfa Romeo Spider
BMW 3 Cabriolet
Morgan

I've had Plexi, but the mesh is the way to go.
Like they say, once you had mesh you won't go back.

Boy I am a terrible one to ask I do not always pay attention if it is within my expectations. BUT I think it was about $340 including shipping. I think it was $ 260 for the product and $ 80 for the express shipping. Go to the site and it will translate the price for you. Exchange rates vary daily. It took 4 DAYS not weeks. Once again you would not believe the quality.

Glad you like it. Mine looks like a factory accessory and I even forget its there now. It took a little getting used to looking through the rear view mirror and seeing it there but now I see right through the mesh like its not even there.

BTW if I had a coupe I would want one of these. They cant have as much fun as we do! LOL!

Glad you are happy! Enjoy!
