It sure will Gary, but we'll have to have those crazy Canadians from the Red-Green show make your car a convertible first. LOL What was that saying... if the women don't find you handsome, at least they'll find you handy! Hehe.

Sounds exciting. Quick question is this simply a plug an play solution? If so that would be good and would definitely increase interest.

I'd love to make it plug and play but without a couple hundred people ordering these, it would be price prohibitive to make all the connectors.

It's a very easy install though and will have very comprehensive installation instructions.

Put me in as interested! I just want FP and the boys to work all the kinks out first.

I was just thinking the other day.....why do I have to hold this button down all the time? As someone else posted...I have other things to do....open the glovebox, get sunglasses, remove parking permit, fasten seatbelt (not necessarily in order) adjust radio volume to level appropriate to the current song.

One concern, currently when I double strike the top switch both windows roll up, or roll down, unassisted. Will that function remain, or does the new button take over this function?

Either way, the top control is more important to me than the window control, although I do use the window function daily.

Count me in on the well-documented, fully beta tested and FP approved final product. If I could easily get to Minnesota I'd have you do the install...but alas...I'll wait for your next trip towards Cincinnati. ji ji.

Please confirm the part about double striking the top switch to put the windows up or down unassisted. Mine will roll them up or down but as with the top, you have to hold down the button to make it happen. This auto up or down as you are making it sound like was going to be part of the final design and is one of the reason for the last minute design change and delay in getting out the betas out to testers.

Can you please tell me what year and trim your car is so I can look into this further? I want to make sure this won't conflict with any factory function of the car except the have to hold that d*mn button down part.

Thanks

Rudy, please add me to the list. I also have an 05 SSB SRT 6 roadster that I never got around to listing in the sig.. This sounds like a great idea. Wish I had been able to say hello when you came thru Spartanburg.

I don't know about double-striking the button to lower/raise the windows (never tried), but I recall that when you unlatch the top the windows automatically go down. We must be spoiled. My 74 TR6 had something called window cranks and I remember it being a blast to drive in spite of the inconvenience.

You have to hold the buttons down on mine after double-striking ('05 SRT)

That is how it works in my car too. The final design will include a feature to do this part automatically as well after pressing the button twice quickly in succession.

BTW, this isn't a group buy list yet, I'm just getting a running tally of those interested in this once it is finished and tested.

I'll get an auto up/down module made for you guys after I finish up a couple other projects I'm working on. I guess it really doesn't need to be an auto down since we already have that but auto up would be nice.

Okay, okay!! So I'm an idiot!! You and all the other members are right...I don't have a magical car. Must've been something I ate on Saturday. The double strike on the top up/down switch rolls both windows down AS LONG AS I AM STILL HOLDING THE SWITCH. I guess I've gotten so used to holding that switch that it seems to be automatic. No harm, no foul.

I have a 2005 Crossfire Roadster Limited. The only unassisted windows down function I have is when the top latch is activated to lower it. Carry on as if I never entered this thread...(but keep me on the final buy list).

I want one, too! I've been toying for a couple of years to get serious and look into mod'ing my car to do this, but sanity kept prevailing since I don't have the expertise. Now I don't have to.
