small issue
I've been driving my 05 Xfire roadster around for 4 months, I would say that 75% of the time I drive it someone asks me about it, or tells me it's a cool car. So here is my issue, how do I keep the mileage down? I love to drive it. And I would like to keep it a low millage car, but I'm a week man. Now my 16 year old daughter tells me "I would look good driving it to school". Wish her luck.
Congrats on the way cool ride. I have had mine almost 4 years and just hit 20K. I drive it almost daily but I work out of my home and travel by plane for work. Easy to keep the miles down that way.
Nothing against 16 year olds, and I am sure your daughter is a gem, but I have a hard time letting my 40 year old daughter drive mine. Enjoy!

They're made to be driven. Unless you plan on keeping it 20 years and trying to sell it for a profit, run it. I've got 33k on my roadster and 15k on the SRT6 and wish I had opportunities to drive them more, but I work out of a home office and have to haul my daughter's hockey gear around, which takes a larger vehicle. Enjoy it. (my 17 year old daughter does NOT get to drive it, but she has her own 03 Audi A4)
I agree with Goldwing....they are meant to be driven....thats where all the fun is..... I also agree with SRT SIX... when I had my Roadster Limited I would not let my 32 year old near it.
My XF just turned 30,000 miles. I have no plans to keep her garaged all the time. She is a daily driver, but I work from home or go to the airport so not much in the way of miles there.
I have a son who turn 16 here in a few years. I'm afraid that he will not be able to drive it except for maybe prom (as there is no room in there for funny business
).

Drive and enjoy it while you can, life is too short. If you are concerned about longterm investments, a Crossfire is not the way to go, period.
As in other hobbies I am involved in, once a person starts to "worry" about the value of his items, the fun goes away very quickly. Drive that sucker!

PS - To get a better rate on my insurance, My son and I had to sign a driver exclusion endorsement due to his driving record. He knows not to even ask!

She loves going to the drags and would like to go back to Homestead for the autocross.
Good Luck.

As for another driver in the car ?? SHOOT my 47 year old WIFE isn't allowed to drive it !!
But by all means, the car was ment to be driven. LORD knows I DO DRIVE IT ( I'm two steps higher then a " SPIRITED DRIVER" ) Yes, there are those that will make trailor queens out of them or push then in a two car garage for summer time - no rain type days. I guess that's for them....me ....I "eat my icecream" ...I don't save it for another day !!! so to speak.

""""keep the mileage down?""""
RIGHT !!!!
When we bought our 05 2 years ago, it had around 20k miles on it, sense we had it we've put over 40k on it
. It reads 65k something now, and we realy dont do too manny long trips with it because the thing is so Damn Uncomfortable
.
SERVICING IT is more important than the MILEAGE on it.

I let anyone I know drive it, more often they're saying they don't feel comfortable driving it. I feel a little more at ease cause I already got hit pretty bad on my driver's side so it's not like I'm looking for a profit. This car is definitely going to be kept for a while
