Im thinking about trading in for a roadster.. just wondering how all you owners think of them and what any pro's or con's might be to having one instead of my coupe...
I originally had a coupe, but traded for the roadster about 2 years ago. I have no regrets whatsoever. A few things to keep in mind:
- Less storage space - If you want to go on a trip and be able to take the top down with luggage in trunk, pack light!
- A bit noisier (but I can hear my motor and exhaust much better!)
- You are going to have a lot more fun!
If you want a convertible, its a no brainer.
We tried many of each before we decided. Our main reason for a coupe is more storage for traveling, and the coupe has more of the recognized shape of the "crossfire".
Either way, you are a winner. James

There are problems and issues with the roadster,
More Chicks wanting to ride in your vert.
You can't get a pony (beer pony) in the trunk.
There is that annoying exhaust sound
You can hear nature when you drive.
More head room, even when the top is up.
It is possible to have sex in the roadster. Not easy but posssible.
When the temperature is over 53 degrees F you are required to put the top down.
You can't drag race at the track if you mod it to do the quater mile below 14 seconds.
Your wife won't let you put the top down if it's only 53 degrees.
She probably won't let you have sex in it, even if it is possible, and even if it is with her.
The Crossfire was made to be a roadster. The coupes are OK but the roadster is perfect. Especialy if it is a stick shift.
If you can get past these problems, I'm sure you will like the roadster.

I originally wanted the coupe, but the wife gave me just the nudge needed to go for the roadster, and I have no regrets.
Go for it....
Go for it....
Two seat sports cars with manual transmissions, by definition, have to be convertibles. But with prices where they are, keep (or pick up) a coupe as a backup.
A LOT more wind & road noise but a lot more fun. More head room too (it matters only if you're tall). The worse thing about them is the limited options for good speaker locations. But who cares when the top is down and the wind is blowing by.
Supersize it and get a SRT-6 roadster.
