Default Battery problem - solved?

Thanks to this siite I alerted my service tech to the possibility of the light in the trunk being the gremlin to the battery dreain. He tells me the mechanic found this to be the case. Have had the 2008 Roadster for only about 6 weeks and it has been in the shop twice already. Only has 6726 miles on the vehicle. I love the car - just hope that I do not see the dealership again for a good long while.

Thanks for all the helpful info available here. Alicia

Black is ok, just don't leave it parked outside in the Georgia sun for 4 years and THEN try to sell it to some dude calling himself "Pizzaguy".

Well, no one HERE .... I was referring to THESE turkeys:

Scratched paint all over, kitty litter in the trunk's carpet, headliner glue failing... l

Glad you found the problem. The Crossfires are quite reliable cars. Hope you enjoy a lot of good time in yours.

All good so far - tho I have learned to FEAR that dead battery stuff. My roadster is a sharp silver. Still smells brand new! Alicia

I plan to replace my battery every three years ($88 at Oreilly's) and carry a spare CPS ($39 at Autohaus in Tucson) - other than that, I'm confident the car will be reliable for years to come.

Without this forum, I'd be on my own with this car - probably ok, but there are so many things I"ve learned here that have been SO helpful!

Stick with us, girl! We'll keep you on the road!

Alicia, Where are you located. ??? The reason I am asking, is yesterday, for the first time, I saw a silver roaster outside my office block in Houston.
I thought there was JUST a chance it MAY have been YOU.????
I know the chances are a bit remote BUT???? We DO keep an eye out for our Crossfire friends, particularly when not seen before.

Just replaced my battery last weekend $89 at Walmart. As you say, not worth taking a chance, because you can bet it will let you down at the most opportune mament.

I'm in NC - on the coast. (So yeah - I understand the 'heat', and the challenges.) My history - had an MGB roadster (which also had a hard top) for a number of years (kept a few mechanics in bizniz), then two Le Baron's , one coupe, one convertible, and then got Sebring fever and bought one , which had numerous battery problems. Soooo - when my beautiful Crossfire started with the same type of battery thing, I really freaked.

This forum takes me back to the camaraderie of the MGB days! Thanks everyone! Alicia

I have had this happen to me once. You just need to drive your car daily to keep the battery fresh...
