It was a design decision by Erik Stoddard the designer of the Crossfire.

Because that's the wheel sizes that the car was designed with.

A lot of sports cars are deisigned with different front / rear wheel sizes. Most are a result of designed handling / traction optimization.

Just to make it nearly impossible to rotate tires (most are directional) and to ensure no spare tire would be necessary LOL

Because 19" fronts and 18" rears would look stupid?

Not only done as a styling statement they were incorpoated into the design in the tradition of F1 cars. At least this is what I read when reading anything and everything I could find regarding the designing of the Chrysler Crossfire. They do look neat, one must admit.

Default tires

Try 19's in the front and 20's in the back and lowering the suspension to keep the same profile height.

So you can have fun with the guy at the dealer who tells you that you need to rotate the tires and then step back in the doorway, cover your mouth, and watch him try! (Happened! LOL)...

The prowler that we own has 17s and 20s !!

Thank you, sir.

And again, a huge thanks for the tip about the doller store lumbar support. I have been testing it out and I have a feeling at the end of the trip to the Dragon, my back will be thanking you too
