You'll have to contact Chrysler Customer Service from their website and request what dealer was the original seller of your car. Provide the VIN and Chrysler should get back to you via eMail with the specific contact info. They did that for me. Not sure what happens if the original dealer was one that 'bit the dust' in Chrysler's restructuring.
And be prepared to pay a 'fee' for the window sticker from the dealer. Fortunately for me, that original dealer of my car was very cooperative and didn't charge me anything for the sticker. But some dealers look at this as an opportunty to collect some sort of doc fee.
If by build no you mean the numerical sequence of the car, it is the last five digits of the VIN on Crossfires. That's the number everyone references on this forum. The build date is listed on the vehicle label.

The original dealer that sold your car can get you one. Otherwise, you're pretty much out of luck unless you can get someone to scan theirs and Photoshop in the VIN number.
I went thru this when I bought my car used, several years ago. I contacted the original selling dealer, several hundred miles from my house. The dealer said they could do it, but only for the original buyer. They couldn't tell me why only the original buyer, I even offered to pay them for it, no deal. Now they are closed forever.

I finally got my last week after a two month ordeal. The delivering dealer that orginally sold the car got closed last summer, so I went back to the dealer that sold me the car. their GM told me no problem, that the dealership can get them now, but when he tried to pull my number it didn't work. He then connected the reg rep and I heard nothing for two months, then I got a phone call from the GM telling he had it and he had to go all the way up the line to the Supply Mgr. It was worth the wait. Chrysler printed me an orginal sticker. I would try your selling dealership first.

For anyone with a newer XF that is looking for a copy of their window sticker, I stumbled onto this link for a copy of the sticker for an '08 Ltd. Coupe:
Chrysler - New Vehicle Inventory - Window Sticker
When I put in my VIN instead, it produced a copy of the sticker for my '07 Ltd. Coupe, which I PaintBrushed into the attached sticker. But I tried some older VIN's prior to '07 and it said Invalid Vin MODEL YEAR. Apparently the older VIN's are not in the system.
Also, I e-mailed Chrysler Customer service and asked for the name of the original selling dealer so I could obtain a window sticker through them. They responded the next day saying that the selling dealer was CHRYSLER GROUP LLC (it was originally a leased vehicle), and that the original selling dealer may make such a request for current model year and two years prior. It then went on to provide a complete listing of my vehicle's Standard and Optional Equipment as it was built at the factory (the build sheet listing).
