Default Tuning a N/A crossfire??

Hey im new to the site but i have a 2006 crossfire n/a that i have did a few things to and would like to get a street tune or a reflash done on. I installed a magnaflow exhaust and a k & n drop in filter in it. it has a hessitation in it so im hoping that with a decent tune it may take it away.

can anyone help me out

Yeah, try Jimmy the Tuner ‎(985)655 2500 or Eurocharged.

Call Jerry Thorton at Eurocharged Performance. jerry@eurocharged.com
Jerry flash tuned my 2006LTD Roadster, then did a DYNO tune. I have now added the K&Ns and a 74mm TB. He is a very good tuner.

If you mean hesitation from a dead stop then most n/a s are like that. search sprint boosters it will fix that issue.

and welcome aboard

Are we talking about an Auto-Stick, or Manual, it's hard to tell from the post.

I also would lean towards fixing the hesitation first, then consider a tune.

Especially if we are talking about a very noticeable hesitation, rather then something that can addressed by a booster...

Do a throttle re-set if you haven't already. Then drive it aggressively to have it learn the new "style".

I did. It runs great. Every so often it runs rough. Thought it had a vac. leak. I don't think that is the problem.

Go to the" search" , put in "Throttle reset". It will come up and tell you how to do it. The throttle is a wire connection not an actual cable like used to be on cars. the Throttle reset lets you set up a new profile of driving characteristics for you, how you drive. I think that you have something else wrong. Maybe an exhaust gas recirc valve plugged up or dirty. Maybe a vac. leak. Doing a " Throttle reset" won't hurt anything, but it won't fix what is not broke or vice versa. Try it, it only takes a few minutes. You do need to go drive it for a while kind of aggressive to build a new profile of driving habits for the computer.

This is not quite true, as soon as you get into your normal driving habits it will learn those so all will be lost again. Just reset more often. That's my understanding of the matter, I could be wrong, but if I am someone will chime in.

I'm not positive, but the longer you drive it the more memory you build and less effect because it gets more and more averaging the more miles and time that go by. so a reset more often will give max effect. How it actually does it I'm not sure. I'm certainly no authority on XFires. I would just say the car uses the computer a lot to do many, many functions. I am learning all the time about this car.

Sorry guys but a throttle reset will not correct throttle lag, it will make the car a little more responsive for a little while but the lag will remain. Get a Sprint Booster and be done with it, you will not be sorry.

There must be a post here that I do not see; that would be the one that says the throttle reset will cure the hesitation.
I think that the posts recommend fixing the hesitation before doing anything. I and the other posters are assuming that by hesitation he does not mean lag.

It was this one:

Then there was some discussion about throttle resets after "abell" ask what a Throttle reset was and how to do it and I wanted him to know a reset would not fix the hesitation he ask about.
