Once again, thanks all for your suggestions and comments. I was very tempted to go for the Adamesh one, but the wife (and it is her car, after all) fancied the King Penn Wind Restrictor, so plunge taken and an order has been placed for one just like this;

http://www.windrestrictor.com/crossf...slides/CJN.jpg

It worked out at $302 shipped to the UK, so converted to sterling (GBP) about the same as the Adamesh. I've been told that it'll be despatched on 30th August, so I hope it doesn't take too long.

The car has just had a service, a new set of OE size Uniroyal Rainsport 2 tyres fitted and a few scuffs on the bumpers repainted and is now looking good. Looking at other threads on here, I wish I could buy tyres as cheaply in the UK as are available in the US. The Uniroyals were amongst the best rated mid price tyre makes and still cost £595 fitted. Michelins or Contis would have been between £800 - £1000 per set!!!

I'll try to post a picture or two when the windblocker is fitted.

I made myself windstoper from plexiglass.
Total cost about $12 + my time.
Works OK but I think that better is for all width car.
Now I want mesh windstoper becouse I see ghosts in my rear mirror.

I have question. Windstoper from SLK R170 will be fited to Crossfire? http://csimg.mercamania.es/srv/ES/00...edes-slk-r.jpg ??

I think that fits. I mean that it is the right width - but I am unsure of how it would mount

If you want to go mesh, you'll either have to try to find a used one or here's one on eBay:

I just read thru this old thread. I have had a windrestrictor brand wind deflector for over 7 yrs now. I wired it to my stop light only. I like it. Have no problems with it. But if you are thinking you are going to get no wind at all, that won't happen. It reduces the wind considerably but doesn't block it all. I doubt that any of them do. It is a roadster people.
