Default performance mods

If I add a performance exhaust (leaning towards a magna flow cat back) and a cold air intake, will I need to retune the ECU to realize the hp gains? Or can I just bolt on and go?

You would not have to tune the car, but the tune is beneficial.

Eurocharged is the company that has awesome tunes for our cars. You can do a search on here to get all the info you need. So what does Papas34 stand for?

yes, both the catback and air intake can be added without needing a tune

My only concern: Sometimes even bolt on mods can trigger a check engine light--especially when adding a CAI, as the computer may not recognize the increase in air flow.

If it's one thing I HATE it's a check engine light. I've been browsing needswings.com. What is your experience with the products they offer for the xfire?

Thanks

X2... I've had no problems what so ever with all the mods I've purchased from NW's. And the support is top notch.

I hear the muffler/exhaust tip mod only gets you about 1 HP or so. Quite expensive just for a different sound, I believe.

Papas34.......My kids and grandkids call me papa.........I built a 34 ford pu a many years ago and had plates "PAPAS34"......that turned into my handle.......I sold the 34 due to health issues and got the crossfire!!!!

Thought about a new handle, but this one has grown on me over the years.

Thanks for asking.

Just want to say while I'm here that this forum seems to be one of the best groups I've ever seen.....we'll see how I feel if nobody joins the northern Utah GTG....lol!!!!!

X3... I have a few of his items on my crossfire and they've all held up great from 100+degree GA summers to 9 degree MD winters and 35,000 miles of use on the catch can love it!

I have found that some Needswings Products cause my rear tires to wear out quicker Oh and I did change exhaust tips and got 5% more noise
