Default Need to order Plastic Part

Hello everyone, I have the 2005 Roadster. I broke the holder in the trunk where you fold the flap up so the top will go down. I was replacing a tail lamp bulb. I know I'm an idiot. The problem is I can't find this plastic holder in any diagram so I could get the part number to order it. Can anyone help here? I tried gluing it but that didn't work so for the short term I'm no longer a convertible, I'm a coup with a soft top

Check out OEDiscountParts.com. Not sure if the link I gave you gives you what you need. If not, just look around the website for a description of your part. If you still can't find it, give them a call. They've always been real good at finding me what I needed for my 2007 Coupe.

Luck,

Drivers side or passenger side??????.... Cargo Divider Bracket? Holds divider panel in place on each side. Driver side has switch, passenger side not. Sounds like the top won't go down, and therefore probably the Driver side (Left) Bracket with the switch. Confirm?

Could you post a picture of the broken 'plastic holder', please ?
Does it have a part number cast into it ?

Yea, I can't tell what you are asking about. MUST be the arm on the divider or the plastic housing-thingy that holds the switch.
Anyway, you can always put the top up and down manually until you get the part.

(Or, splice the wires together that go to that switch and MAKE SURE the divider is up and things are clear for the top to fold down..... but I didn't say to do it!)

Check this guy out on ebay - I have dealt with him numerous times and have a good selection of spare parts I will probably never need. They are new OEM. His store lists both sides that the flap hooks into. He sells VERY reasonably. He has helped out a few people on the forum and he really appreciated my business - said times were a little tight.(so it would be nice if you can buy one of his"Karmann Classic" t-shirts too - I did and they are great quality) I said i would pass the info along when a chance came around so here it is. I am not affiliated in any way but am a fan as he is a great guy - tell him Ron sent you! turnersperformanceprogramming | eBay
