Default Headlight Lens

The lens on both of my headlights on my 2005 Roadster LTD appear to be distorted. Went to the detail shop at the car wash. After 2 rounds of cleaning & buffing they look better but not great. I was told the issue is on the inside of the headlight lens. Not sure how that happenend if it is a sealed unit. I checked e-bay and the headlight assembly is $425.00 just for one side (Chrylser was $675.00), crazy expensive!
Appreciate any suggestions or advise!

They are not sealed units. 99% of the time, it is the outside clearcoat causing the problems.

Many thanks for the very usefull information, much appreciated! The guy from the parts department at my local dealer said they were a sealed unit. I guess he is not up to date on his Crossfire knowledge or is trying to get me to buy the headlight assembly which is highway robbery at that price!

I would guess he has no clue on the meth bath to clean them inside, and for all practical purposes they could be considered "sealed" as far as getting inside them to clean.
