Dead battery = spoiler up?
One of the guys I see occaissionally on the train has a Limited Roadster, and yesterday his battery died, but the spoiler was deployed; is this normal?

Think of it as road kill where the squirrel's tail is still stuck up in the air.
YES SIR...absolutely. Battery needs to be replaced. Tall tail sign....I've got 120,000 on my car and had to replace battery twice in all those miles..but the tail coming up is a definite sign it's time to replace the battery. Last one I replaced is a jell cell - 7 year ....we'll see !!
My battery did not need to be replaced, but it was dead and the spoiler deployed because of the 'not firmly closed trunk roadster' issue. That happened to me twice when I first bought the car, and then again just a couple of weeks ago when my husband unloaded groceries and did not close the trunk firmly. He has now learned the lesson. I was kind about it but also a bit smart-alecky too. He knows how I feel about that car.....
