Questions before I buy...
Seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on a limited roadster. I had a couple of questions first:
1) How difficult is it to keep the cloth top clean? I've had convertibles before, but they've had vinyl tops, which can withstand solvents, scrubbing, etc. What do you do if you get a bird-dropping on the cloth top? Anyone use Scotch Guard or similar treatment? I'm also worried about salt from winter roads staining the top.
2) I'm currently agonizing on color. I'm trying to decide between Sapphire Silver Blue, or Aero blue. The SSB looks more "European" to me, and maybe a little "classier", but the Aero Blue looks much more sporty and more fitting a younger driver (I'm 31). What convinced you to buy a certain color over the other? I've seen the SSB in person, but not the Aero Blue.
Thanks for any input.

Can't help you about the bird droppings on the top but I think you should get the Classic Yellow convertible. I've seen the Aero Blue and I have a SSB coupe (04) and I would take a classic yellow roadster in a minute and if I hadn't just bought the coupe. The classic yellow rdstr looks much better with the black top as well.
Just my opinion.

I live on way out on the south shore of Long Island, soon to be moving to Virginia. After rolling over our Sebring JXi with the top down, we went to our DChrysler dealer looking for anything but a convertible. My wife and I had considered getting a Xfire Roadster Limited, but where a little bit convertible shy at that point.

Amazingly the very Xfire Roadster Ltd, that we dreamed about was sitting on the showroom floor.
We agonized for about 2 hours over buying the Xfire Roadster Ltd or the 300Hemi C. Needless to say we came home with Xfire Roadster Limited.
We have no regrets, the car is great. As far as color goes.....choose what makes you happy. There are a wide variety of convertible top cleaners, protectants on the market. I would assume that top maintenance will be minimal, I clean my top twice a month with Mother's Convertible top Cleaner. Bird droppings, have only appeared on my top only twice so far, a little water and Mothers convertible top cleaner removed the stain perfectly. One word of wisdom, start taking care of your top from day one.
Hope this helps.
Living in sunny Florida, a drop top is the only way to go. Now our temps are getting to the point where the top is never up, and those starlit nights are amazing! I chose the black, but when I got mine in May, there were not a lot of color choices for us. My choices were black, silver or wait. I chose black, as silver doesn't hold up in floida, and waiting was completely out of the question.
I find I pay closer attention to the 350Z roadster and the Audi drop tops more now, and find myself being more critical of their design flaws more than I did before. Both those cars are beautiful as coupes but they fell asleep on the top design, in my opinion.
