2005 Crossfire Limited
Key fobs won't unlock so I used the key to unlock. The alarm goes off when I get in the car. Trying to get the alarm to shut off I try to start the car and it acts like it wants to start but nothing. After another attempt to start the car, nothing. After the alarm goes off, you can hear a clicking noise in the car and the lights still flashing and then it stops. I had to have my car towed to my house. My husband tried to jump my car off and nothing. The battery tester shows the battery to be good. Every time I open the car and the alarm goes off, it is not as loud as before. Sounds like it's dragging. Could this be my alarm or maybe this is an electrical issue? Oh and the tow button that is second from the right keeps flashing this red light and will not turn off. Thanks for any advice or solution to this problem

It is likely that your central locking pump and security module are flooded. Read through this thread for information . . . (start at post #22 for photos).

Water can leak into the well in the lower right side rear area of the trunk. Once water gets in there it cannot drain out and ends up flooding the electronics mounted down there. Usually the water leak is from the "wing" mount plate. You'll see that information in the thread too.
There are MANY threads on the forum about this issue . . . here's another good one . . .

At the top of any forum page you'll see a search box that says Google Custom Search. Type in "Central Locking Pump" or "Central Locking Module" and check things out.
Please let us know how things turn out for you . . .

Re: 2005 Crossfire Limited
Hi,
Same thing append to me yesterday. So I disconnected the battery, and the that probably reset the computer, and the motor was able to start. After that, I did not lock the car with the remote key. Am afraid it will do the same thing. So some people telling me to replace the car battery ! I don’t know what the problem is...Are we talking the car battery, or the key fob battery ?

All the key fob battery does is run the little transmitter for the lock/unlock/panic buttons. THAT IS IT.
The RFID chip in the key is passively powered by the SKREEM when it is in the ignition and surrounded by that black ring (which is a loop antenna), so the battery in the fob has nothing to do with starting the car.
If the car won't lock/unlock with the fob, try your spare key. If the spare works, then change your fob battery.
If the car wont' start right, THAT would be an indication of the car battery being bad.
