Default top switch

Has anyone replaced the top activation switch that is mounted on the top frame right next to the passengers head? Sometimes mine works and sometimes it doesn't. It appears to be mounted by two screws into the top frame. I also can't see what pushes the switch up and down. The new one also has a hole for another bolt and an electrical connection. I can't see where these are on the top frame. Can anyone give me directions or photos or something before I start taking it apart? Any info would be appreciated.i

I can grab a picture of mine when I get home this weekend, but that's it.

Kinda sounds like the part you got may be the wrong part to me.

I'll look mine over but I wo'nt be near my car till either Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon. Got my hands full just getting home today.

I SWEAR that switch is available thru MCM or Digikey for around $9, but it may be missing a bracket that would be supplied with the Chrysler part number. I will look into that in the next few days as well. This has come up before, but by the time I get around to looking into it, someone else has already resolved it.

I just cycled the top and released the button at that position. Have you only released the header latch and tried it manually.. do not push the top's button or you pressurize the system.. us the manual top lowering in marks video..
