New to the Roadster and just asking those of you out there if you leave your top down (open) for days at a time
when the weather is nice and/or if you have a garage to park in each night.

Will this cause creases that will not come out or any other harm to the canvas or hydraulics ?

I've always heard and believed that the tension on the top when it is up is good for it. I also won't put mine down unless it is DRY, as I dont want it to dry without being under tension, for fear of shrinkage.

The is no pressure on the system no matter if it is down or up, so I see no issues there.

What he said, plus less wrinkles and it keeps bird poop off your seats.

That was reported on this forum some years back.
Stretching the fabric also puts constant strain on the window bond.
Dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t.

Original owner of my roadster and it spends the six months of summer 99% topless (and garaged). Occasionally the top goes up due to rain or parking in an "iffy" neighborhood. Yes, I have minor creasing on the side canvas between the door and the rear window, but I figure the avoidance of wear/tear on the cables and hydraulics outweighs the creases. Plus I store it for the winter with the top up.

Thank you all so far for your responses
They all make some good points
I just like to look at it with the top down when I go into the attached garage to toss things into our recycle bin etc so that's the main reason I asked.
Yes I still admire it and just like after we park in a parking lot we need to look back and admire it until we drive it again 😎
