Just purchased my 2005 Crossfire Limited Roadster. The previous owner informed me that in March he had the Secondary Air Injection Pump replaced. Now I have a check engine light on and the error code is P0410. I would bring it back to the shop but it's over two hours away. I was hoping to get some input here first thinking it was something simple like a connector or relay. I really do not want to take it to a shop. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
BTW- This warning was Yellow, not red, the first time i checked.
Thanks so much. I will give it a go and do an update. Can you replace an individual relay or do you have to replace the entire module?
You can, but it is much better to just send it to DJ and have him do it.
He charges around $50 for a 3 relay replacement ( engine, fuel pump & air pump ).
Send him an email at tighed1@hotmail.com for address and instructions.
We are becoming like stealerships, replace this, send it to. ——,etc.
Lets get back to basics. I cannot see these questions addressed.
Are the points burnt? If so file them clean and see if that works, then replace the burnt relay.
Are the solenoids working?
Is that blue valve working?
Are the hoses to the two valves in good shape and connected?
Is the ground wire clean?
Does the pump run and shut of within a half a minute?
Is the pump running continuously?
