Default Rear Weather - strips Won't Stay Put

Both of the Main hydraulic cylinders were leaking on my Crossfire. I removed all seven cylinders plus the pump and sent them to TopHydraulics for rebuilding. They did an awesome job. When I received them back each part was in a size specific plastic bag marked with the name and part number. Reassembly was slow but using the Crossfire Service Manual, the sticky post started by g3air and some photos supplied by KeithTexas I didn't have any difficulties and the top is working as new. When I get a chance I plan on adding my notes to the sticky. However, I do have one problem. The right and left rear weather-strips won't stay in place. These are the thick rubber weather-strips on the b pillar along the back top of the windows in the doors. They were very difficult for me to pull out but I'm not able to get then to go back and stay in. I don't think there was any adhesive but what am I missing. They are not replaceable and I'm afraid I'll damage them if not put in correctly. Is there a trick? The service manual makes it sound simple. I don't want to visit a body shop.

The center channel of the strips gets expanded when you remove them. You have to press it back together with parallel pliers until the sides almost touch.
Then reinstall and maybe use a rubber or wood mallet to set them home.
