Default Replacing cylinders & top

Can someone please post the sites or numbers to order replacement/rebuilt pistons & a new top? I’m taking my crossfire in next week for an estimate to install a new one... Thanks!

An estimate? If for a new top, I can't wait to hear the outcome of this "estimate".
Prepare for a bill higher than your house payment.

If all you need is a new top, I'd order one from BAS (around $700 delivered); then wait for one of Dean and Lori's tech days in Nashville and drive down there and get it installed for the price of a case of beer or a lunch for the guy(s) that do it (which would be Zach - MrPeabody on the forum, gray shirt on the right, below). You can even spend the night at Dean (blue shirt) and Lori's(flowered top), their home is around 3000 square feet.

Zach and Robert did mine in a condo parking lot one morning....

Do you have trouble with colours? I cannot see a grey shirt in the pic. I have trouble with some greys as they look a bit greenish to me, so maybe it’s my eyes. To me though the shirt is a putty colour.
It looks like there is a spare beer, that’s good. That is better than being one short.

I do have trouble with colors, and that's Vernor's Ginger Ale, not beer.

Can someone please remind me what the cost of replacing any bad cylinders is? I remember that they give a discount if you buy new cylinders and then send them the leaking ones. Is there any specific contact for our forum folks? I’m ready to make it happen before the weather gets too nice.

I’m so ready to get the top replaced on my car. Can anyone recommend a truly good shop? I have the BAS and I thought that I had found a shop; however, it turned out that the guy was nuts. Short story… I contacted the guy and set up a date for me to bring it in. I had it there at 9AM on Wednesday. I figure that it’ll be done on Thursday. I instead get a call on Thursday afternoon and the guy says that the top won’t go back & he can’t do it. I jumped into my truck & told him that I was pretty mad that he didn’t tell me sooner. He then accuses me of lying to him. Long story short, he threatened to F me up and I got out of there fast. I took it to Eurospec and they confirmed that the hydraulics worked. They put the top down four times and the 4th time the window made it stop due to the top not having equal pressure on both sides. So, I want a professional shop in TN, the Carolina’s, GA, etc., Any recommendations?

Um, I'm not so sure that diagnosis sounds right.

The only people I recommend are Zachary Joslyn (Mr Peabody on the forum) in Dalton, GA/Columbia SC and Robert McCubbin in Kansas.

I’m just going off of what Eurospec diagnosed. Dalton, GA isn’t that far from here, how do I get in contact with Mr. Peabody? The has been that the passenger side is coming apart, but, the driver side is still okay at that point.

After you get the car back to 100% (wherever you take it), you'll have to consider hiring a lawyer (or file a small claims) against the first guy you hired. This of course depends on whether or not they screwed up the operation during the replacement OR just threatened you. IF he threatened you, file a police report and make sure you have the case number. Good luck!

I wanted to thank Zach & his fiancé for getting the top replaced and making it look so easy. Now, some new rims and a couple of other minor things and we’ll be ready for spring with the top down… 😁😎
