Default Issue with flaps - Help !!!!

Hi guys,

I need your help with my crossfire roadster, the flaps should move up and down but they don't. The stay down.
I checked the cable and they seem ok.

I guess the cables need to be tightened ? But where ?

Thanks you so much

Hi Guys,

Just to be clear on my previous post :

- When I close the roof, the flaps move down and everything is ok

- When I open the roof, the flaps stay down and I need to move them up manually.

What do you think ?

Thanks

Those flaps move due to the mechanism at the far end of the cables. If they are not operating correctly, the issue has to be at the far end.
But I have never heard of BOTH failing at the same time, often ONE flap fails when the cable becomes disconnected at the far end (not the flap end).

Thanks Pizzaguy,

I checked and you're right the issue is at the far end (not the flap end).

When I open the roof, the cable should go up in the sheath in order to move up the flap. Instead of that, the cable remains soft.

As you can see on the picture. What do you think ?

What would you do ?

Thanks

I would get one of those bicycle cable oilers and see if I could get some good cable lubricant in there.

Hello,

I would like to remove the cable in order to coil it up and soak it overnight in WD40, but I don't know how ?

Can you help me ?

Regards,
