Installing a new top on my '07 Roadster
Installing a new top on my '07 Roadster
I live in Virginia and have ordered a new top from BAS in the Uk. The top should be here Thursday. Does anyone have a recommendation of where I can go and have the old top removed and the new top installed. I need to find someone experienced with Chrysler Crossfire. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you are fairly handy with following detailed instructions this is something you might want to consider tackling yourself. There are threads on the forum and YouTube videos, the most helpful one I found to watch is this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6hQrD9rR9M
I replaced my top in September of 2019 after watching this video several times. The only special tool you will need is a pop rivet gun; the top from BAS will have the rivets included. There are two different size rivets but the ones from BAS are all the same size with a spacer to be used where the larger ones were. It is helpful to have a second person to assist you with putting on the new top, not so much for the removal. Also, you will need to reuse the clips at the base in the rear where it attaches to the bottom of the bow frame. Take pictures before you disassemble and drill out the pop rivets to be sure you know how to position the straps on the new top. Lastly I used a piece of wood with some padding on either end to keep the bottom of the bow up when it started to drop. Good luck!
