Anyone can glue the window back in, if they are patient. I reglued mine four times in five years. The car will need to sit about 12 hours, maybe 24. Actual labor is less than two hours.
I then saw the light and ordered a new top, which friends here in the group put on for me back in 2020 at the Eureka Springs meet. (Did the job in 90 minutes, out in the parking lot - then we went to breakfast).
A new top, delivered, from BAS runs around $675-750 in the USA.
As to labor to put the top on or fix the window, that varies - where is "Barrington"?
Take a look at MY upper right information - you've GOT to tell us where you are if you are going to ask what something costs. We have forum members that go around fixing stuff for reasonable prices -but if "Barrington" is in Australia, then we can't help you.
I did in fact just received my top from them and would some help with the installation. I am in Yuba City, Ca just north of Sacramento.
May I ask what web site you went to to purchase your top? Was it US based? I’m in Phoenix, but I can’t find this top ANYWHERE for $675-$750 in the US like the earlier poster was telling you.

any help would be appreciated.
We order them from the UK. MIne was $740 delivered in Texas, prices have gone up a bit but not that much, from what I understand.
I believe we are now past 500 new tops from BAS on our Facebook pages.

The guys put it on for me free before breakfast one morning at the Eureka Springs meet in 2021.
Got mine from BAS International last summer - Had a friend here install mine on about 90 minutes
Good quality top and hundreds have been bought from BAS over the years !!
My cost was: £90.00 for shipping and the top was £539.00 ......which was about $800 total shipped
Thank you gentlemen. I really appreciate the information. Ours is that color blue also. Love that color. ours has black powder coated rims though.
What is that you are using to prop the back cowl? Do the green and orange paint zones have some special meaning to the placement?
i was told by my car guy (Mercedes wiz), to never interrupt the button pressed up/down procedure. Looks like you did with I’m guessing seemingly no issue with top sync after??? Is it just gravity that lowers the back cowl, so that propping it like that is ok to just “do”? Or….. do I need to do something special first like pat
my belly and rub my head at the same time while hopping on one foot.
I ask because after owning this car for two years now (we love every second of it), I’ve learned she is very very very “sensitive” to proper procedures being followed. Lol

1) Do not ask questions without making it clear WHO you are asking. To do this, use the "quote" button at the bottom of the post you are referring to. (Like I did, but I deleted your photos from the reply for clarity.)
2) Interrupting the top process by releasing the button is not a big deal, it's just that:
... After nine minutes, pressure from the system is released and the top items will relax, sync may be lost by teh PTCM and you will need to re-sync.
... Stopping the top midway, again, leaves pressure on the cylinders for longer than normal periods, this can lead to leaks if you do this a lot.
3) Green and Orange paint zones? Prop the cowl? I/we don't know what you are referring to.

Just like in the Land Rover forum, I’m assuming when someone asks a question, they are typically asked of ANYONE who can answer. I’m not picky. Everyone’s experience is relevant and valued.
The “orange and green “, refer to the stick in the picture I was sent used to prop up the rear cowl.
so then 9 minutes is the amount of time I should not exceed when regluing the rear window, per the guy who suggested using windo-weld, otherwise I have to do that to you and down think that I’ve done before. That video was very helpful two years ago also. So much so that I actually drew the procedure graphically on the underside of the trunk.
thank you to anyone with any experience at this who is interested in replying.

He is referring to the prop board that Robert used to hold the deck lid when replacing my top shown in my post here #6
The colors have no importance on that prop board

.
IT's impossible to do that in nine minutes. Just take your time and re-sync the top when you are done. (My video posted above walks you thru the procedure.)
Also, I reglued my window FOUR times - you must take GREAT care and prepare the surface properly - which I did NOT have the patience to do which is why I failed four times.
My view:
$740 for a new top was the answer and I will NEVER reglue a window ever again. We have several people on here who will replace the top for you for $300 labor, that's less than $1100 total. You will replace the top ONCE in the lifetime of the car, but a set of tires will set you back $600-1500 every 11,000 to 30,000 miles.
$983 today with shipping
i would love to find someone here in Phoenix that would help me with that for $300.
if you have knowledge of someone (s) in Phoenix, please send them my way.
I’d give them $300 plus dinner. 😉
I sent a message out on a group page for Crossfires on Facebook inquiring for you
Are you a user of Facebook ??
Interesting. The second picture I completely understand because I bought 6 of those exact suction cups. Completely confused by the first picture though. Are those clamps? What are they clamping WITHOUT the window?
