05 Roadster Top Stopped Working Without Warning
This forum has been wonderful, specifically the thread about all the top sensors. We were able to get the top working after checking all, troubleshooting all the problems, replacing the hydraulic pump. Everything worked perfectly until today. When I put the top back up Saturday night, the engine was running, it cycled all the way through, including the cycle complete beep, and I latched the top.
Today, I unlatched the D ring, and the windows did not go down, and the convertible switch in the console had no light. I latched the top back and came home. Tried again. No windows down, no switch light. The engine is running every time. Divider switch engaged, trunk locked.
I checked all fuses in both the fuse box, BCM, and interior panel, just in case. Disconnected the battery for 5 minutes. Checked all sensors- including latch retainer switch and the roof open switch as I put the top down manually. The convertible switch would not light up, and the top would not come up.
Hydraulic fluid level is good, and no wires were pulled from the PTCM. Before I changed the hydraulic pump, I got a flashing light on the convertible switch. Haven’t had no light at all.
I’m lost as to what changed literally overnight.

Ran diagnostics on the car this evening and it flagged the PTCM. Going to really check the retainer latch and then possibly replace PTCM
Left it alone for the night and drove 15 mins to work this morning. When leaving, I unlatched the D ring and pushed open. The windows went down and the top went down perfectly. The spoiler now works again. Have absolutely no idea why it wouldn’t work yesterday and now is back to working.

IF not for the wing issue, I"d suspect the retainer latch switch in the windshield frame or the Power Top Control Module.
In any event, I am on a business trip and will not be around much until this weekend.
Why did you not mention that earlier? A wing and top that wont' work usually mean ABS issues or CLP/SSM issues.

The top is back to not working. No light on the switch, windows don’t go down when unlatched, spoiler button light flashing and spoiler not working. Noticed the car won’t lock this morning when walking away from it. We’ve replaced the CLP a couple weeks ago.
