Convertible Top HELP
Good afternoon...The back window of my Crossfire Roadster (2005) has fallen forward, luckily didn't break but as you know, in order to replace the window, they have to replace the top AND the top has to be in the open position to do that.
Now, the issue is...the top wouldn't operate even after lifting the partition in the trunk. The gentleman working on trying to get it to open, there was beeping from back and front...it caused the trunk to lock and we can't get it open.
He has to have the trunk open...I know this is a mishmash of words...I'm so frustrated right now. I now have to take it to a dealership to have it evaluated to see what they do about opening the trunk. My key fob doesn't work and
the trunk can't be accessed (as you know) using the key.
Does anyone have any hints on this being bypassed? Even after driving the car home, it didn't override and let the trunk open. Raising the top was my last big issue and someone on here mentioned the sensors in the trunk which
I mentioned to the mechanic. They replaced it and it worked perfectly. I don't really like driving with the top down anymore so I haven't used it. Had no clue it had died in the meantime. Can anyone help? Sympathy accepted.
Thank you! Anna (if any of this makes no sense, message me.) (I'm trying to NOT have to pay the dealership to be involved.

Pressure release procedure
1) turn car on
2) Press the down button, keep holding the button
3) turn the car off
4) Release the button after 10 seconds or the light goes out on the switch

If the pressure release procedure does not work, you can go after the pneumatic trunk lock from the license plate light. Remove the two screws and it can be popped out. The driver's side is the fob release, move cam with screwdriver(up/down).
The passenger side is the safety lock when opening top, move with screwdriver(left/right). There are videos on this and good written procedures, Google search.
