OK, weird! Was cleaning windshield yesterday, sun must have hit it in the right angle & while still "wet", the words "track experience" appeared...towards the top of windshield. Almost like there may have been a decal of sorts there once. Of course once the windshield was dry & clean...message gone! Has anyone else seen or heard of this? It was really bizarre! Now, I did get the car with 2,500 miles on it already from a dealer who claims it was an "executive's car"; but when I brought it to my dealer in area to "check out", they stated brakes looked like this was used as a race vehicle. More bizarre things...
Could that have been the decal once on it & then removed?? Any info or help be greatly appreciated!

I would guess that your car was used as a SRT Track Experience car, which would mean that a lot of people have driven your car pretty hard. The cars they use have a decal at the top center of the windshield. That's probably what you are seeing the remnants of. I would think they would be legally obligated to tell you that your car had been used in a race type event.

dealerships back in the day... with muscle cars (under warranty) would spray the car/windows down with water... to see if any shoe polish markings (recently erased) would magically appear on the glass.
this way they could deny the warranty claim & prove the car broke under abuse at the 1/4 track.

Andrew, not to contradict what you said, but it reminded me of a trip I took to a local Plymouth dealers service department back in the summer of 1970. My old friends brother was a mechanic there (I don't think they were called techs back then, but I may be mistaken). Any way, he asked my friend to bring him a special tool from his home tool box to complete a job he was working on. The service department held about 20 cars, and I remember over in the corner was a brand new yellow Superbird gathering dust.
There was a few Road Runners, an early vintage Cuda, and the usual everyday bread and butter family trucksters scattered around.
The car that really caught my eye was a red 67 GTX. It was up on jack stands, with slicks still mounted, uncorked headers, and shoe polish letters and numbers still on the windows. When I asked my friends brother what it was there for, he said they towed it in Saturday morning, because he blew the rear end at the drags Friday night.
Jokingly, I asked if it was still under warranty? He said, "Yep, it only had about 28k on it. I thought he was just kidding, so I asked him again, and he said no, he was serious.
Boy, those were the good old days.

I would suggest you do a Carfax search on the car to see who the original owner was. You may also want to contact Chrysler to check and see if your vehicle's VIN # was used as a demo tester. If so, they should be able to help you out.

I'm not sure, but I don't think carfax would say anything about her car being used as a "track experience" vehicle or not. I would guess those cars are just sold off to the dealers as "factory official" or "program" cars.
The dealer may be completely in the dark about the cars previous life, but I highly doubt it.
I don't know if checking with Chrysler about any info they could get from the Vin # would do any good either, because they may not want to "incriminate" one of their dealers.
If the dealer was local, I'd just take it back to the dealer while the impressions are still visible on the window, and ask them why they didn't disclose that the car was used as a track test car? Then ask them what they plan on doing about it, since it was an obvious attempt at pulling the wool over their eyes.
Since BlueQT had the car delivered, it may have come from a dealer not so close to home. In that case, I'd get the letters on the window documented by a local dealer in writing, and maybe have her lawyer send the dealer (where her husband bought the car from) a letter asking for some sort of compensation.
I wish the "PUCKSTER" would chime in on this thread. At least we could hear what Blue QT's legal options really are.
I know I'd be really ticked off if the dealer did that to me, and it could happen to anybody. I guess that's why they say, "Buyer beware!"
I work at a Dodge dealer in the parts Dept. If you would be willing, give me the last 8 of your VIN, and I can look at the vehicle summary and see what it says.
I would be willing to bet its an SRT Track Experience car as well. But I'd also be willing to bet that it won't show up that way on the VIN... Probably show as a car for an exec.
I've been looking to buy an SRT6 myself, so I've been running VIN's and there are quite a few of them that are "exec" cars...

Danno... This makes me question the one I purchased as well. Would you mind running the last 8 of my VIN to see if it was used as a track test car? I can PM you the information.
Thanks
