Performance?
There is a Renntech pulley mod available for a slight bump in hp/tq. Check down the board for posts. The trans is also an AMG reinforced/upgraded driver-adaptive unit and pretty much bulletproof. The SRT track experience guys told me the only component that may be prone to failure is the differential but only after really, really hard abuse. They also said the front discs could use an upgrade to cross-drilled ones as the stock discs have a tendency to overheat and warp under extreme (track) abuse.
The '98 to '02 CLK 55 rotors are really nice upgrade that will fall into place like they were meant to be there. They're a little pricey but were designed and cast by AMG. It's pretty impressive stuff for a factory car. The rotors are vented, drilled, and are pinned to the center hub to allow more air flow.

Here's a site that has both the OEM CLK 55 AMG rotors and stock replacements. Slotted, solid and Cross Drilled. No Cross Drilled AND Slotted ones that I can find.
Link
If someone has found Cross Drilled and Slotted rotors for the SRT6, PLEASE give me a link to the website (not e-bay if you can help it). Thanks in advance.

Price aside, which kit would you get to bump up the HP close to 400 HP? The one from Kleeman or Renntech and why?
I know the price is ridiculous but it's actually going to cheaper for me to upgrade than buy a new faster car.

Sorry? The five speed automatic transmission in the SRT6 is a Mercedes NAG1 'SpeedShift' transmission. The SRT8 does not. It has a W5A580 Five-Speed Automatic.

Hmm... I sit corrected... I did not know that, nor could I find that information anywhere.
Thanks for setting me straight. (the NAG1 is what the Service Manual states the transmission type is, probably a Chrysler number).

I'm finding it hard to believe that they would use a transmission from an American Hemi car in the German built Crossfire that uses ALL Mercedes parts.
That, and I've driven many Hemi cars, and they are not even close in comparison to the SRT-6 on how they shift or act when driven.
Maybe someday I'll have to crawl under my cars out in the garage to find some part numbers.

Believe it!
You would never know by driving the two. However, the AMG cars will use different programming and in the case of the SL 65 they use a few different internals as well. Those internal differences are the reason they have different part numbers but they're all 722.6 transmissions.
My proof is in my Mercedes parts catalog.
Wow... those are some seriously tough transmissions then.
Hmm... I'm beginning to contemplate a new drive line for my next hot rod project... hmm...
