Hey all. Anyone have any wind noise when they are driving on the highway as if there is air leaking into the cabin? I never had this issue with my past cars not sure if its common. When you go around 60-80 MPH you hear it from the window.

Also anyone have an issue when backing up that the front passenger wheel when the wheel is cut all the way rubs against the inside fender wall? At first I was really worried and thought there might have been damage to the car before I bought it but when I drive on the highway even at 100MPH there is no shaking and the wheel does not pull to one side...kinda weird.

 

my tire rubs as well when the wheel is turned all the way to one side or the other. i don't think you should be worried, it's normal. as far as wind noise, these cars are a little noisier than most on the highway but make sure that the window is lining up with the weather-stripping properly as i've read in previous posts about either a recall or a tsb about this issue.

 

Ok sick! I will do the search as well for the wind noise issue. Thanks again. If others have the same issue when only on one side they cut the wheel all the way and there tire rubs please let us know so we will sleep good at night haha!

 

mine doesn't touch, but i don't have a SRT, but it should be the same. never heard it, and i turned my wheels all the way both ways to put my fog lights in and got out and they weren't touching at all.

 

My SRT has the touching issue - you hear it only when you are backing up with wheels turned sharp - but no damage or issue so no worry!

 

Nice...Any others. I also noticed when you have the wheel cut all the way too each side...the side that touches when you reverse sticks out further and has a slight tilt...I assume this is normal as well. I found out that you can apply weather strip to the windows as well to reduce wind noise I will keep you guys posted. Any other with the wheel issue rubbing...seems pretty common.

 

I have the first issue that you mentioned... the wind noise and air leak into the cabin, but I think that is a TSB issue and should be fixed under the warranty... I have just been to lazy and fearful to go and get it done...

 

Yea I bought a weather strip for it...I will all you guys posted. What about anyone else for the tire rubbing issue...If there are only 3 of us...maybe it is a defect as well...weird.
