Do watch out for jealousy and vandalism towards your car. It's scary fast, and not too many cars can shut it down, but just remain classy about it. lol. I hope you enjoy the car. Welcome to the forum.

I only wish they had cars this good when I was 16!

Oh well, I'm reliving my teen years with the wisdom that comes with age.

I really don't want to give away my age here, but, my first car was a 57 (1957 to some) Chevy. Paid $85 (cash on the spot) for it, and it was in tip top shape. Guess that blows the age part... LOL. But to be honest, my youngest son is really wanting to drive the Crossfire... NO WAY!! I'm not going to let a youngster drive a car that will do what the Crossfire will do! Do I trust him? Totally and unconditionally. Still, he can drive the Volkswagen Beetle I restored for him. If he doesn't like that, then he can walk.

Still, it's cool that you have the SRT to cruise in. Enjoy it while you can!! Welcome to the club!!

]H'mmm, my daughter,Ashley has a SRT6. She turns 17 5/29. She absolutely loves the car. Better since I had the gold rotex brakes put on the front. She's happier because the SRT wheels are a pita to clean and I usually have her do both cars.

Enjoy the car. I try and drive with the lights on when I remember. The car is small and maybe just maybe it will be more visible to other drivers.

Keep it clean, inside the trunk (what little there is), under the hood, inside the doors. Andrew is one of the car detailing experts. It's more fun to drive when it is clean.

Every person who has a Crossfire, feels like they're 16 again. Well maybe not everyone, but most. I think BIGPAPAPUFF does, and he just doesn't want to share. LOL.

I also agree with Smokey regarding:

Do watch out for jealousy and vandalism towards your car. It's scary fast, and not too many cars can shut it down, but just remain classy about it. lol. I hope you enjoy the car just as much as I do! Welcome to the forum.

Good luck and have fun!

Well ya got me on that one... LOL.

Like everyone says, keep it spotless, inside and out. It's an awesome machine and will last for many, many years!!

BE CAREFUL PLEASE. That's a lot of car for a 16 y/o.
We sure don't want to see it (and you) involved in a serious accident.

Finally, a voice of reason...

That's a whole hell of a lot of car for a new driver... so be very careful. Yes, they're nice, and they're great, etc, but I'm yet to meet a 16 year old that I would feel safe driving next to in a 300+ hp car.

Well, whatever you do, be very safe, and keep the throttle under halfway.
At 16, what cars you can beat should never be considered.

I still stand by that. When he gets some experience behind the wheel then maybe, IF I AM IN THE CAR WITH HIM! Just a concerned parent who would hate to have the sheriff come knocking on the door with bad news...

I really hope that your parents do not regret that choice, but its your choice to make sure they never do. We have been there and it is such a terrible adversity to have to deal with. I want go into the details but please drive safe, don't push it , one mistake with a car like this and it could be your last, not to mention how it changes life for everyone around you.
You must be very mature for your parents to have this much trust in you. Prove this to be true for them. Always buckle up, drive safe and when the peer pressure gets to you, stop and let THEM OUT!!!
