Wow, even though the price is decent these guys are making an absolute killing on these "extremely reduced" priced SRT6s.

They want to make $500 - 1k off of one then I'll jump.

I wonder what their cost is for putting a car through the CPO and buying an 8/80 from Chrysler?

I've been trying to buy but it seems like there's some info sharing going on between sellers Like; don't let one go for less then a $5,000 profit. I mentioned to one about the auction sale prices and it didn't faz her a bit.

Ok, I was told that to buy one of these at auction, its the auction price plus the auction fee of roughly $350. Then transport to the dealer - looks like none of them are even detailed when put on ebay.

Since they transport cars all the time that probably adds a whole $500 - $1,000 extra in cost. Much more profit than they would of made by selling them at 46k.

You can buy a SRT6 Coupe with under 100 Miles on ebay @ Tarpon Dodge, FLA any color you want: Black, Gray, SSB, & Aero Blue @ $24,995 or make a better offer? Roadster $29,995, I had a Aero Blue STR6 Rdster locked up at $26,995. (on a mistake, but let them out of it, got an SSB, instead).
They had 10 Brand New/"Used" just came in this week. Just ask, for Lisa & say Bill sent you?

Tarpon Dodge is the dealer I just bought mine from - fair dealer except they did not disclose paint damage to the plastic roof seam cover, though local dealer is getting warranty replacement so no harm done, plus they did not replace interior trim piece with tape residue from shipping so local is getting replaced, too. Neither of this issues are major but an inconvenience for me, just make sure you ask all the right questions before committing.

They did make me a very nice offer on my trade, though.

So all in all a decent experience with Tarpon Dodge.

I was at the Fredericksburg, Va auction the other week and "new" ones with less than 100 miles were selling for as little as $20,700 before Auction fees and delivery. Hell one with just 6 miles on it sold for $21,200. If any of the dealers in the mid-atlantic area that bought these are asking $25,999, then they are sitting on a damn good profit. I missed the boat. After seeing those run, I started thinking that I wanted one, and now I can't find one at the auction. They must have run them all around the same time. I'm looking every week, so as soon as I find one, I'll let you guys know.

Future owner of a "NEW" $22,000 SRT-6.

Remember, those are Coupe's that can be bought for less than $24,995, Roadsters go for a good $5,000 - $7,000 more!
Also they have been sitting for over 2 years someplace, not so kind!

I can tell ya that if the car has less than 50 miles on it getting one for any less than $25k is pretty slim. If you wait for the "right" price then you'll definitely miss out. Mine had 19 miles on it with an in-service date of 2/07, and a nav. I'm happy. Sure beats the $44,000 back when it was new.

Expect the dealer to get a 3 to 5K profit out of them which is considerably less then the average $7K on simple Cherokee's back in the mid 90's. Overhead is a lot higher today too.

Well, those are all valid points. The dealers aren't buying these cars without a good profit in their sights. Retailing them for $25K shouldn't be a problem. I have seen them in my general area that have 10,000-12,000 on them for as little as $21,999 RETAIL however. But, seeing as I am a dealer, I don't plan on paying more than about $22,500 for a "new" used one with taxes and title.

There is a dealer in Pacific, Mo named Don Flier Motors. They were selling the hell out of xfires because of the $10,000 dollar factory rebate on the rest of the inventory of '06 xfires. you could look them up and call them. The dealer i talked to is Anthony Brantly, he didn't know a lot about the cars but he was at least honest about it. The next step you need to accomplish is to get a hold of someone who works for chrysler and get them to give you a friends and family discount. Viola! Best 17 grand you could ever spend, unless of course you would rather have a caliber or a cobalt.

You got that right! I wonder what they're getting for SRT-6 Coupes.

Thanks for the info, I'm sure there are some people here who'll be making a few calls.

We've been shopping at the SRT-6 store - the prices discussed have been SRT-6 purchase prices, not base coupes. I think the prices for the based and limiteds make it tough to pass up too, though!
