went back to the track on sunday with the new intake on the car, here is the skinny...
stock times from a few months ago when the car was bone stock...
norwalk raceway in ohio (private rental, track had decent prep).

13.71 - 106.5
13.83 - 106.7

13.25 - 108.3
13.11 - 109.81 - new best mph
12.97 - 109.3 - new best ET
1/8 mile bracket, dialed in a 8.48
8.47 - 89.9 i broke out but other lane red-lighted (quickest 1/8 of the day, too bad i didn't get a chance to run it out thru the 1/4)
8.50 - 90.4 (knock out of eliminations by 0.069 sec, was a $1,600 purse too)
back to test n tune
13.05 - 108.8
12.98 - 109.7
12.99 - 109.4
the car was way more consistent and was pulling strong, the supercharger whine is very apparent now. i'm very pleased with picking up a consistent 3 mph thru the traps. i'll be at a track rental next tuesday at milan, if anyone want to come racing let me know and i can get you an invite. dyno coming soon.
now for the intake...

I tend to like a 'satin' type finish myself, which would be more like the powdercoated aluminum I presume.
Excellent times BTW.

posted for Stock SRT-6 on dragtimes.com. I'm not sure that I can in any
way, at this time, see where your intake is an improvement. I'm more
inclined to feel that you are just getting better launches as you've had
better practice. I'm not sure if I'm recalling correctly, but I believe I saw
a stock SRT-6 listed on dragtimes.com with a 12.98. However, I'll continue
to monitor this thread, and if it looks like you are making a real
improvement, I'll be ready to buy.

Re: AFAIK i bumped the stock srt6 et record today
its finished for the most part, well almost, its at the mandrel bender now getting made out of one solid piece of aluminum instead of 5-6 pieces welded together, i will be contacting a few guys to try them out a review them in a week or 2 (when the mandrel bender is finished bending them). it should perform much better due to it not having 4-5 weld rings in the pipe at every bend and im pretty much done picking out the filter to use with it, it will be 3" cai (filter behind the grill) with a k&n filter. i was very pleased with the track results (averaging out the before/after runs it made a big improvement) and feel it is a worthwhile product to go forth with investing in the production/dyno.
we went out to milan dragway with the car last night, i let the fiancé drive the car and she knocked out a stack of 13.0's while hotlapping (to make sure i took myself out of the equation - don't tell her that, lol).
the initial batch of intakes will most likely be polished aluminum but i'd like to try and get some powdercoated srt6 body colors, does anyone have the paint codes for the 3 colors other then black?
here is a sneak peak for ya, the engine cover DOES go back on but i think it looks kinda goofy on without the factory intake system there to complete the engine smothering.
