Question Sun Hyper Voltage System

Anyone have experience or installed a Hyper Voltage System in any of their vehicles or their Crossfire? In theory, it makes sense to keep the voltage level at the highest level for many reasons. I believe it works like a "step up" transformer and takes your stock levels and boost it to a more efficient level. Any thoughts?

I have it in my ex - Red Blaze '04 Limited before (see pics in gallery) and I can feel it does something in the torque other than protecting my electrical system.

I'm using it now in my 2006 mustang since I seldom drive my new SRT-6 and I still hasn't installed my audio system. The tiny flashing light from the Hypervoltage system can drain your battery if you are not using your car more often.

It helps if you do a search on the topic that you wish to learn.

Agreed, and you were the one asking for help!! I think you will find the info that you requested if you DO perform a search. If this is the attitude you are bringing, I will think twice before responding to your posts.

Not at all. The only attitude I sensed was in the other answer. I did the search and did not find as much as I was hoping. Also, the search will only give what people already discussed and I was looking for experience on any vehicle not just the Crossfire since that time.

Interesting banter.
I did a search. 3 separate listings. The listing with 7 pages and 61 responses had a lot of drivel about subjects other than the title line. I believe only 3 people responded with positive feedback about the system in question.

And in case everyone forgot, the question was ..."has anyone installed a system in their crossfire..."

So 3 people out of over 1,000 views, stated they found the system beneficial.

I generally find the forums to be a wealth of knowledge.

Tis a shame that someone asking for insight is 'guided' to 'do a search', instead of getting the question answered.

I'd be glad to point you guys in the right direction, but electronics are way out of my league.

Black 05, Thanks for the support. I have had my SRT-6 only a few weeks and this forum has been invaluable. I guess some just feel they are above others?
It is nice to see some of us show support for fellow owners rather than give a hard time.

I asked the same question 2 years ago. The question now is a legit one since that thread that I made is an old one. And with thousands of new owners now compared 2 years ago, it's possible that there's more than 3 crossfire owners that has used and has positive / negative experience with the hypervoltage system. I think it's good to hear from them too.

Thanks Cyril,

Didn't think this would cause such a stir. I am thinking about the Hyper system but don't want to waste my money either. I love what you did with your car. Looks great. I live in a small town (about 12,000) and I have the only SRT and one of two Crossfires. The closest big city with a good amount is Dallas (90 miles away) and to be honest, I am at a big disadvantage when it comes to service etc. The local dealership hardly ever sees a single Crossfire and I hesitate for them to do anything. I do most of the work on my cars myself and always had so hearing from all of you guys that have had these cars for a while are a great resource for me.

Thanks again,
Steve

If the Voltage System doesn't really work, it is a pretty good placebo. I actually bought mine after reading the endless thread in which only 3 people found it beneficial. I suppose I am number #4.

Steve, I'm from Tyler and just 47 miles away from you. I also do some work in Athens but I use my blue mustang for my daily ride. My SRT-6 goes out only on weekends and during winter where bugs are not a problem.

I've drivin' my red Limited there before for several times. I saw a graphite gray SRT-6 there in Athens one time near TVCC.

Wow. I have not seen this one. I wish I did not have to drive mine when the weather is not so great but it is my daily driver. I have been working hard on my paint issues. The person that had it before me did not take care of the paint very well and as you know with black, you really need to know what you are doing or it will look like a mess as mine does. I need to go over it a few more times with Griot's # 4 which helped a lot the first time but still needs a lot of work. I only drive 4 miles to work through town so the bugs are not a big issue. I used to live in Carlisle Pa. and used to show several cars at the fairgrounds. I am a perfectionist and it kills me to own a car that has so many paint blemishes but that is the way it goes I guess.

I am seriously considering the Hyper system. How long was the install for you?

The install was pretty easy. I have to make my own hypervoltage bracket / holder near the windshield washer container using the car's stock screws and holes. No need to drill holes.
