K&N Filters - any performance gains?
Do these filters offer any noticeable gain in performance over stock?
I've seen pros and cons to these filters. Mine are already ordered, so I'm getting them regardless...but thought I'd ask.
Some people in the Cummins world have actually shown a K&N FIPK to REDUCE horsepower/torque, thought to be caused by the oil on the filter reducing flow.
How would you compare a stock SRT vs an SRT w/K&N Filters? Probably can't notice a difference, huh?
How about intake noise? Any louder? Is the blower any louder?
Thanks,
Shawn

Try driving without filters and see if you feel a difference if you do not... you definitely will not with the K&Ns...
Again for the noise try driving without the filters and see if you hear a difference if you do not... you definitely will not with the K&Ns...
Hope this helps...

I put mine in right after I bought it, so I don't know if there is any more oomph.
I put K&Ns in every car I own, always have.
My Butt Dyno noticed no difference and neither did my ears. At this point I kinda wish I hadn't just bought them, as they are going to be replaced with a Needswings Cold Air Intake shortly... Now that will **** me off if I can't tell any difference with that.
