Default Water/Meth installed

My friend and I installed a water/meth kit from Alcohol Injection Systems the other day. It is hard tell if it has made the car any faster (it's hard feel a couple of tenths). But it does however make the intakes much cooler to the touch. After several hard test runs the top of the intake manifolds were warm but not hot and the back of the intake runners where I installed the jets was room temp at best.

And Rodney at Alcohol Injection was very helpful. He set the system to come on at 9 lbs of boost via vacuum. I will be going to the track again on the 12th of this month to see if there is any improvement to my best of 12.87 and 108. Here are a few pics of the install.

Good clean install. I'm interested in your times now at the track.

Very clean install should have killed two birds with one stone and installed the spacers while you had the intake manifolds off. Might have seen even more gains but very clean.

Looks great. I would think that with a pulley and ECU mod you should see even bigger gains from those cooler temps. I can't wait till you get to run it again to compare your times. Can you turn the system off, or is it on all the time whenever your at 9 lbs of boost or more. Could you share some prices with us? System cost & install cost?
Keep us updated!!

The main advantage of a meth/water injection is that you can run more boost or timing without detonation. If you are not turning up boost or timing & not remapping fuel tables then it is possible you could loose performance.

The cost of the system was $400 and the install did not cost me anything, Good friends are hard to find. But a shop should not charge more than 2 to 3 hrs. to do it like we did. I plan on getting a tune very soon after I test this system out. The pulley is going to have to wait until next year, but it is on my list. I would love to see 11.99. From the butt dyno I feel no loss in power at all, and I dare say it may feel faster. The testing I did do was done in 85 degree weather and the power never fell off.

We did install a switch on the unit to turn it off if I do not want to it. I went with Alcohol Injection Systems because I like the larger tank, the prewired pump and tank together and I like that everything goes into the trunk. The tank holds about 1 1/2 gal. and is about the same size as a battery.

what was the brand that you installed?
have you tried H2O2 instead of water, it might cool the air quicker.
