If you guys are interested I do injection molding, where we machine the molds for producing plastic parts, let me know if you guys are interested in making special pieces

I like them...don't mind at all if they are staggered a bit.
An EGR delete would be a nice option, if we can get an ECU tune to prevent the CEL from coming on.

Great work!

Cheers,

It doesn't look that bad staggered IMO. I'm more interested with the performance gains. Maybe you could take maxwell up and make plastic sleaves that would fit over it and mask the stagger.

Would you still be able to use the stock or SL55 intake with these? I thought the manifolds are where the air boxes are attached to (not sure).

Rob you know this crowd to well! I, like many others, am focused on the performance so I leave the design concepts up to you.

Keep it staggerd! It's all about performance! Will we have the option to have SRT6 on the top of the manifolds Rob? I don't think dodge/chrysler will care that we put SRT6 on top of the maifolds, since there are so few SRT's.. You could also put NeedsWings below that.. Just my opion....

For reduction of tooling costs and all that, you could simply do a smooth, flat finish on top and allow folks to put whatever emblem they'd like, or leave it smooth with nothing at all on top. I think that would look great, personally.

Now, if you integrated an IC into those you would be building something that could produce notable HP increases. Get rid of the OEM IC and move it out of the 'heat soaked' V of the engine to the top of the engine and integrate it with your new plenums. http://jalopnik.com/cars/custom-cars...ics-122019.php

Just my humble opinion.

thank you, i have other ideas for cooling tho still in the works

i think by the time we pull out the stock IC we would end up pulling out the s/c aswell, i doubt we need to go that far tho, i doubt many customers would want to go quicker then 11.50's and require a roll cage in there already too tiny car, well... at least im not ready to put a cage in her as she's still a nice daily driver.

Just curious. The factory manifolds are aluminum already aren't they? Are you just increasing the volume? At the rear, it looks as if the air would be creating a bit of turbulence due to the flatness of the rear wall by the mandrel bent tubing. The stock castings look like they create a smoother flow. ??

If you are referring to the intake plenums, they are magnesium..

They are ground and polished inside and out and finished with clear powder coating... who needs after market products when you have a bunch of good equipment that can be enhanced for serious performance...

As far as magnesium, yes MB has been a real fan of the metal for their engines for quite a few years... most of the upper engine is cast from it... It is lighter than aluminum and stronger...

It makes for really cool fires! I know, after watching a local wheel manufacturer burn to the ground when I was a kid. What kind of wheels did they make? Magnesium wheels..

It also makes for a good 'flint' if your crossfire ever leaves you stranded in the dead of winter.

I wouldn't mind some magnesium rims, I know some production vettes use mags. light weight and it makes Hp!

A co-worked set the band saw on fire at work while trimming several mag bellhousings. That was interesting. I always enjoyed setting fist sized ***** of mag shavings on fire with my propane torch, than spraying water on it. Really cool stuff!

I just cut a few shavings off of the plenums, they wouldn't burn. As a matter of fact, why haven't the plenums turned black from oxidization like every other un-protected mag part that I've seen?
Hmmmmmm........
