Fan noise on startup...

Default Fan noise on startup...

I have what sounds like a fan runnning when I first start my srt6 up in the morning..........The Nosie goes away after the engine warms up............Is this normal?

It doesn't sound normal. Mine has never exhibited this issue. You may want to have it checked out. It could be signs of some other issue.

Normal. I'm guessing it sounds a bit like a hair dryer? It's probably the air pump. I believe it has something to do with the emissions system. It is more active in cold weather. They also come on occasionally at stops. You can see the pump. Under the hood, it's on the drivers side near the fender. It's black and about the size of a small cantelope.

yes mine does it too. start the car and a hair drier sound comes on for about a second then goes off.

Interesting, I will have to listen to mine more carefully. never noticed it at all.

you can take it off and get a plate from tvtdesign to cover the hole

oh correction .. don't mean to take your glory cgoc
as stated ABOVE


yes it is normal ... when you start the engine open the hood ,on the driver side on the fender their is the pump ,
lay your hand on it , u can feels it working and hear it.i think it is a

Just drive the car! This thing makes all kinds of noises. I drove my self crazy for the first few months of ownership trying to figure out what was wrong with my car and all the noises. After hearing a few other ones, I gave up because they are mostly all normal!!
